My best friend and I planned a four-days holiday in Barcelona. My friend booked one double room with shared bathroom at Barcelona Rooms. Before leaving my country, I wrote to the hotel management to ask if a double room with ensuite bathroom could be available, since I don’t like shared toilets. I find them very uncomfortable. A guy replied and...

Barcelona rooms offered all we needed! The room was neat, has a terrace, is quiet and has all the basics. It was peak season, but in Barcelona rooms it's quiet and cool. Even though the bathroom is shared, it was super close to our room and so we didn't really mind. We didn't have the option to use a kitchen,...

I stayed in an ensuite room for two. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was good. I was in like a shared apartment or something so there was a communal area as well. We liked the place and would recommend it for people visiting Barcelona looking to save money on accomidation. We thought the location was good with good...

Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. Had a great experience. Was good enough for 2 people. Price was very reasonable, and you have literally everything near you that you could ask for. Transit, main avenue, shopping, restaurants...you name it. The front desk staff was nice and room was always clean. I stayed on the back end which was very...

The room wasn't anything like I expected from the photos. The room was very basic with two single beds which we pushed together together to make a double. That being said, it was a great location which is only a short walk to the main areas and it was nice and clean! Room was serviced every two days with clean...

my bus drivers refused a room because it was untidy: he bed was slept on, the floor was sticky, there were mould problems throughout the building and the rooms proposed rooms were filthy. Our choice was made after better experiences in 2012 and 2013, the disappointment was made on an objective basis. However, the way of coping with complaints made...

25 Euros a night for a double bedroom with a balcony with great views, a round table and chairs? We had to go for this! Except there was no great view, round table, nor chairs - and I've never seen a smaller room. The worst part, however, were the caretakers at reception. Upon arrival, I paid my share and told...

We stayed 4 nights in this property and rented a room with private bathroom. Overall, it was what we were looking for. A good price place to sleep after walking all over Barcelona. Location is a great aspect for this property. It is near a main avenue (Gran Vía) which is wonderful if you use the bus service from/to BCN...

We stayed here 2 nights and the position was perfect. Extremely close to the metro station and at a walk distance from placa Catalunya. The rooms were ok, simple and clean. Bathrooms even if shared with other rooms were always clean. The only bad side was that we had to pay 1€ for the city map, which wasn't even clear,...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
