I stayed in this hostel for a few days and cannot emphasize how helpful, warm and accommodating the staff is. Off the bat, they sat me down and gave me a 101 of the history of Barcelona, tourist attractions, restaurant recommendations and general things to do/be aware of. Additionally, the hostel hosts awesome tapas nights in which all of its...

This is one of the best and most friendliest hostel that I have ever visited. The staff are super friendly and the location is good. The owner used to be a chef and he cooks delicious food for everyone once a week. Recommend warmly!

It feels like staying in a hotel with excellent service. I came here after the new years with my girlfriend. They emailed us the day before and upgraded us to their "suite" at no extra charge because it became available (they did not have to tell us). Very comfortable and large room with a TV and two beds. The location...

Like the title of my review, this is THE best!! They have the cleanest space, the most amazing events, and the nicest people! This place is more like a big house. You have all the access to the good kitchen so you can cook you own meals just like home. They also have three laptops you can access internet if...

Barcelona Garden became my home in Barcelona. I liked how the hostel was both centrally-located, but at the same time tucked in a quiet (but not creepy or "hidden") part of the city. The location was so good that I rarely used the subway because I could WALK to most main tourist spots in Barcelona. It is a 5-10 minute...

Traveling with my wife and 3 year old daughter. One of my best hostel experiences in Europe! Stayed here for 5 nights. 3 Nights in a 3 bed dorm with shared bathroom and 2 nights in a double ensuite with private bathroom...The shared bathroom was just next to my room so felt like a private bathroom itself.. The shared bathrooms...

On its face this hostel is decent. It is clean and the rooms have a fair bit of space. The bathrooms are good but small. The beds are average. There is a nice communal area and terrace. But what really made this place was the staff. They were nice, warm, welcoming and helpful. For example when I arrived I was...

Great staff! I cannot recommend this hostel enough. If you are going to Barcelona, stay here. I have stayed in so many hostels, and this was the best check in I have ever had. The receptionist offered me tea, coffee or water and then went on to go over a map with me for about 20 minutes. Great place!! Stay...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
