I am not one to give bad reviews, however, I was disappointed with this hotel. I understand it may be policy in some hotels in Europe to limit the AC in the rooms during winter; but, when the result is a hot, steamy, and uncomfortable room, then it's just unacceptable. I had to sleep with all the windows open in...

I read a number of reviews before booking a break to Barcelona. There seemed to be so much choice I really didn't know which hotel to choose. Most reviews for this hotel were good. Those that were less positive seemed to have an issue if noise....this a city so of course there will be noise!! Brilliantly situated for beach, la...

My husband & I are just back from a 3 night stay at The Colonial, the hotel is in a good location, it’s about 10 – 15 minute walk up to Las Ramblas, en route you will encounter many cafes, restaurants & bars if you go by Jaume Square onto Ferran street. There are loads of little side streets to...

HCB is a clean, modern hotel in a superb location, minutes away from the gothic area and 10 mins walk from the beach. If you don't have the breakfast, there's a great cafe just 100m away (turn right out of the hotel entrance). Would have been a 4* experience if the wifi wasn't so awful. In the age of connectivity...

My husband and I absolutely loved this place so much that if we were to go back to Barcelona again we would stay here. We got a room with a balcony, and that was our favorite part! The balcony was beautiful with a view of the city, and we were also so close to everything around us. This hotel was...

My wife and I spent four days in Barcelona. The Colonial is located closer to the Ocean than to the city centre, just the right spot for travelling and sightseeing the city and beaches. The hotel is in good shape and the building and staff are above average. It was a great place to sleep while taking in all the...
