Vi stayed 4 nights at the Hotel. The most positive first- beautiful surroundings with the beach just in front. You should like to walk if you stay here, as it is located a walk from the city centre- which we loved, as it is a fast pace city and it is nice to come back to more peaceful surroundings. We received extremly good and helpful service from Dario at the Hotel Prior to our stay- truly five star service!! We had really high expectations to the level of service after that☺️ However the service in the Hotel did not meet our expectations when we arrived. The Hotel had lost the reservation regarding one of our rooms, so we had to spend a lot of uneccesary time in the reception after a long travel- not the stress we needed. We did not receive an appology for the delay- which would have been aprecciated. The Hotel charged us 800 euros for a deposit upon arrival, allthough this is a exclusive Hotel- 800 euros is a lot of money to charge without informing the guests in advance. We were also a bit curious about the doormen of the Hotel- in other five star hotels with doormen the doormen are regarded as the face of the Hotel- wishing all the guests welcome, here they did not look at us, and did not say hello- they were mostly busy talking to eachother. The Hotel has a skybar overlooking Barcelona- we did not feel welcome, it has doormen/ security that is not very welcoming. We had a dinner at one of the restaurants at the Hotel when one of our children got a Sharp staple in his mouth from a chicken-filet. That could be potentially very dangerous, we got an appology from the waiter and a small discount- these kinds of things should not happen anywhere, and at least not in a 5 star Hotel. Our entire experience can be summoned up with: beautiful surroundings in an extraordinary city- but the service is not 5 star, it lacks leadership and the the impression seems to be that they are trying very hard to be young, cool and exclusive- but often comes across as too young, inexperieced and not very welcoming.

Just spoke with Carla in the reservations team, and she was charming, calm, helpful, efficient, and totally a credit to the hotel. I know its now so easy to book online, but sometimes that human contact is priceless. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 5 days in September as part of a bigger trip across Spain. I contacted the hotel via the chat a few days before to let them know we would be arriving early. On arrival, our room was available and we got an upgrade to a Wonderful Sky room with a stunning view. The hotel is located on a lovely beach, 30 mins walk to la Rambla. It was easy to get about the city by simply walking to many tapas bars or getting a taxi. We had breakfast each morning in the Fire restaurant. The service was exceptional with staff making sure we had freshly squeezed orange juice and coffees topped up at all time. There was a la carte selection of hot dishes such as eggs cooked to order, avocado and iberico ham toast or omelette. There was also a lovely buffet with sweet bread, cooked breakfast, fruit and selection of yogurts. We tried all of the hotel’s restaurants for lunches and also ordered room service one night and the food was very good throughout. It meant we had a choice between staying in the hotel to eat or venturing out. Bayern Munich club stayed at the hotel at the same time and we saw a lot of security throughout. We also bumped into players in the lifts which made my husband’s stay. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel to other travellers.

Really nice hotel with great facilities. We also enjoyed the Eclipse bar with its great view and great sound. I absolutely loved my room with its unique interior and stunning harbour view. I could have spend much more time just sitting there and enjoying the sunset.

I chose the W Barcelona to celebrate my father's first days of retirement with him... and what a beautiful place to do so! The W Barcelona is a true heaven in Spain, with breathtaking vistas and world-class service, as expected from the W brand. There are multiple pools within the hotel, as well as direct access to a fantastic beach. We stayed in a beautiful suite, with views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea - it's impossible to describe how wonderful it is to wake up to such a vista and the sounds of the sea. The extraordinary level of luxury across the entire property is exceptional, like at my several other at different W Hotels across the world. The extraordinary level of care given by the employees, however, truly shines at this location. W Barcelona's staff went above and beyond to provide us with a wonderful experience and, at the same time, several reasons to return soon. Rest assured that every request will be fulfilled, and the staff will anticipate all of your needs in a timely manner. I recommend especially to try breakfast at the lower restaurant (a bit hidden). Just a beautiful setting, and very anticipating, great staff. I'm very excited to return. For the moment, I'd want to express my gratitude to everyone on the team, particularly Claudia Fernandez and Benjamin Cowtan, as well as Mr. Schickling - the new General Manager that clearly knows what he is doing!
