There are so many things wrong with this hostal. The worst being that my phone was stolen from my bedroom when i was out. When I went to report it to the owners they were so horrible to me and the old woman was awful and the old male owner started shouting at me so much so that i started...

Although it is a great location and a great apartement. The people tending this place are a little strange and the way they run their business is too. I mean it's cheap, clean, but I felt unsafe from the moment I got in. They wanted to keep my passport, why? It's not like it's a real hotel, this is tended...

I'm not one to write reviews but I feel I must warn people of this so called hostel. I started when we arrived, no clear instructions as to what number the hostel was within the buildings intercom access. When we arrived we got told to check the room before paying, which we did (it was clean, the only thin going...

Turismo Urbano has a very good position, 5 minute walking to pas. de Gracia. Rooms are small but comfortable and the common restroom is very clean. Staff very very kind and she gave us a lot of advice for visiting the city. Red point: Payment only cash.

My friend and I, stayed at this Guest House for 7 days recently. At first we were rather sceptical about it all as we never stayed at a Guest House/Hostal before, but when we got there we thought it was a lovely room. ROOM: We booked a quiet double room with a balcony and a private external bathroom which we...

Juana and others were so sweet and helpful! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated, each with its own style and color pattern. Everything is clean and works properly. We had a balcony in our triple room, and used the available refrigerator to keep breakfast and drink items daily, so we could enjoy relaxing on the courtyard deck. After traveling...

Great place! Juana, who is the owner, is really kind. The rooms are confortable. The staff is kind and helpful. Just 2 squares away from Paseo Garcia, the main street that will take you to art and shopping area. The "Casa Batllo", "La Sagrada Familia", "La Pedrera", famous arquitecture of Gaudi are really close by walking.

In April 2014 we spent 4 nights in the Turismo Urbano. The location is excellent- just 5 minutes walk away from Playa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. There is also a metro stop round the corner. It was initially difficult to find as based in an unmarked apartment block. We had to count the numbers of the houses then wander round...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
