The property was in an excellent location, very close the under ground station and local shops and a cafe. The rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were really welcoming and accommodating - gave us recommendations for things to do. In the room you are given a coffee machine and kettle, which is fantastic however there is no fridge for milk and no milk provided. A fridge would be beneficial. The hair dryer could also be more powerful. In the bathroom the shower screen is too short for the power of the shower head. Water gets all over bathroom and you have to use your bath towels to clean it up. Shower screens should be replaced to be longer. There also aren’t enough bins in the room, there is a small ‘sanitary’ bin in the bathroom but that is all. We ended up leaving 2 bags of rubbish in the room when we checked out. The bedroom doors also are on a soft close so when you leave the room ensure you’re pulling it closed otherwise they don’t shut on their own. I am also unsure if the door locks work too. From walking to and from the hotel we also think the street door before you enter the hotel entrance should be locked as would feel more secure. The hotel would be easy to access if the door wasn't closed properly by guests.

The room was immaculately clean, the bed so comfortable and the pillows a dream to sleep on. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. There were also lots of amenities within walking distance of the hotel. Only downside was that we had no kettle in our room and even though other members of our party had one, our room didn’t have one included in the price. The staff did offer to deliver hot water to us though. Just a minor issue, our stay overall was 4.5 out of 5.

Lovely hotel, very central and easily accessible. Self check-in is great if arriving late. The rooms are simple and just enough for a solo traveler staying a couple of days in Barcelona (my case). Perhaps the only downside is the walls seem to be paper thin so a lot of noise can be heard from the surrounding rooms. I have not tried the coffee shop downstairs but it is beautifully decorated and I am sure the menu is just as delicious.

I loved my week at Magatzem 128. The staff were friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The room was clean and stylish and I couldn't beat the price anywhere else in the city! I really loved staying here.

Stayed just one night and enjoyed it. The location is great, walking distance to plenty of restaurants and cafes as well as a supermarket just across the road. The hotel was as expected - small, comfortable and basic. The bed was superbly comfortable and spotlessly clean. I also appreciated how quiet it was (although this makes the noise from neighbours a little more obvious). The wifi worked fine. Staff nice. Loved the morning coffee and muffins. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but one of the staff recommended a nearby cafe UGOT. LOVED it. They serve brunch and it is just amazing food at very reasonable prices.

After staying in apartments for 8 days it was nice to have a hotel experience for a couple of nights before travelling home. As it happened we arrived just after 13:30 which coincidentally was the hotel check-in time. All staff at all times of the day were very friendly indeed and informal. Rooms are small but we just wanted to live out of a suitcase anyway and only take out what we needed for the short stay. Storage is smart, open plan and limited but ideal for the time we were staying. The bathroom is beautiful with gorgeous white tiling and a rain shower. However, the sliding door was extremely difficult to manoeuvre. Sometimes it required two people to try and slide it open and shut. Maybe just something easy with the mechanism to sort out. No big deal, and quite funny at times. Sound proofing wasn't great, we could hear conversations in the next room and in the corridors. Street noise was also quite vibrant but we booked a city view anyway and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are no black out curtains but this wasn't a major issue especially in late October. I'd be happy to stay again if the rate was right.

Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Wonderful decor. Very fresh and clean. Helpful staff. Lovely wine and nibbles. Aircon was perfect - not too cold or hot. And great location near to restaurants and bars. Doesn’t serve breakfast but that is fine because there are so many cafes close by for this.

An excellent choice for a short stay in Barcelona. Really quirky design, clean rooms, friendly staff. Only a short stroll into the city, across the road from a supermarket and very close to a metro stop. We chose the property due to the price and we were not disappointed! Would definitely chose this hotel again.

A very nice stay! Everyone was helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were clean, cute and the shower was excellent. We really enjoyed the area as well and felt completely safe walking around at night, etc. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance which was very convenient as well. Would definitely stay again!

This was my first trip to Spain and Barcelona was my first stop. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I can't remember the names of the staff but the female was super friendly and provided me with a map and recommended routes to take to familiarize myself with the area which was very helpful. Every morning, the hotel gives complimentary coffee/tea with muffins. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Rocafort Metro station and there are lots of bakeries and restaurants in the area. Rooms for singles are on the small side but nevertheless was good for a 4 day stay.
