The hotel has a old but classy feeling of royalty. The building and reception area are grand but a bit tired, personely i give it a 4 star rating. The staff was excellent and very helpful. It is very quiet during the night, and my room (515) was a little smal and did look over the backside of the hotel....

Returned to this hotel for third time in 4 years. Nice, comfortable hotel in a good location very close to the historic centre and cathedral as well as to the train and bus stations. Nice ambience, big lobby and cordial staff. A good option if visiting salamanca.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Feb. Great double room. Large and very smart. Floor to ceiling marble tiles in the bathroom. Double basin and large mirrors everywhere. Even a magnifying mirror. The staff was very helpful with enough English to get by. Enjoyed the breakfast. Bacon and eggs with loads of other continental options. The hotel is just outside...

Hotel is near to the town centre and is ideal for using as a base to visit the sites of the city. Clean and fresh, nice staff, very helpful. While near to the main road our room was in the rear and so there were no issues.

We were booked on a bus tour and this was the chosen hotel. It wasn't as nice as some of the others on our tour, but it was still a very decent place to stay. We appreciated the hardwood floors, found it was clean and also very quiet over night. The breakfast wasn't anything special, but had a reasonable assortment...

We checked in to their 1 br suite. It was very spacious and well decorated. The room had 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed which were all very comfortable, including the sofa bed. The hotel has it's own parking facility but you will have to pay €16 per day to park your car there.

They say...location, location, location! Hotel Alameda is in an amazing location steps from the old city, where you can stroll find somewhere to eat, drink and admire all the amazing architecture. Upon arrival my bag was misplaced, and obviously mishaps do happen. The gentleman/bellboy who helped me find my bag was very kind; however, the front desk were extremely rude...

I was given a room with a bloodstained bedspread. Disgusting, I would not recommend this place. I am sure there are better hotels in Salamanca. Another Insight tour shocker. Not acceptable for the star rating that I suggests.

Within 10 minutes walk of the Plaza Major, the hotel is close to a wide range of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. There is public transport at the door. Our room was clean but small, the twin beds were adequate but not luxurious. However we were there for only one night so that was not a major concern. Our room...

Admittedly I was travelling with Insight Vacation on a bus tour around Spain when we were put up here for the night at the Alameda Palace Hotel. The Insight Vacation "luxury" escorted tour was a story and a half all on its own. But I digress. The guest room on the lower floor was dark and dingy. I could constantly...
