5 minute walk to bus station, then 5 minutes into town or 20 minutes to the beach. I have used this hostal a few times, but forget there is a hotel with the same name a street or so away. Nice big room, with good shower, the staff are friendly. The one main thing they could do would be a...

Couldn't been more happy with this place. Really close from the ferry, room and bathroom are nice and clean, friendly staff, wifi working, loads of shops around. We even had our bed made and fresh towels on next day. Shame about the rainy weather but radiator in room dried all wet cloaths. Will come back if we're in santander again

We were on a motorbike and had booked this hostal because we were landing off the ferry at 7pm and we wanted somewhere local and cheap. Ideal location for the ferry. It is literally first right first left from the ferry exit. Basic hotel with decent size rooms and nice and clean. Receptionist there 24hrs and he let us park...

The hotel is handy for the train station but is located in a rather run down part of town. The staff were excellent but the place is in need of a little refurbishment in parts. No air con and no lift. Good sized rooms and bathroom. This place is fine for a few days if you are on a budget.

So far the worst hotel of my trip. The carpets look like theyre 40 years old. The rooms stink because guests are allowed to smoke in their rooms and the ventilation is poor. But the staff was great. When I complained that I can't even breathe he did all he can to cancel with booking.com and gave me my refund...

We stayed for one night at the start of our holiday and second night at the end. As others have said the hotel is well located for the ferry, train stations and bus station. It was clean and comfortable. The furnishings are a bit basic, but this is reflected in the cost. We were given a voucher to get breakfast...

Santander is a city with lots of character and the spectacular location would be hard to beat. I stayed at the San Glorio for only 2 nights in March but it was absolutely fine. The room was quite small but I had the luxury as a solo traveller of a very comfy double bed so that more than made up...

Situated in a bustling street near the port, train and bus stations - ideal for travellers (like us). Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Rooms are typical small Spanish hotel - comfortable beds, good shower and sat TV. Walls are a bit thin, and floors wooden, so you do tend to get a fair bit of noise...

Stayed one night prior to catching ferry. Very clean, efficient, pretty good value (40 euros all inc) and good breakfast. 24 hour parking down the road (9 euro for motorbike). I'd use it again if I needed to stay in Santander.

Good value hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, very clean, close to city centre and bus/train stations. The street is not the prettiest, but it's very safe.

“There is a hotel which is also called San Glorio in a neighbouring street, which is a bit confusing. We went to this first and were redirected to the hostal.”
