Stayed here one night after getting off the ferry from Portsmouth. Not that easy to find but satnav and a friendly policeman got us there. Only a few minutes from harbour. Plenty of empty pitches in late August in shaded area towards back of site. Toilet block OK. Short walk to rugged coastline and bars/cafes.

Nice little campsite. The bays and entrance would be tight if you had a big vehicle but we were fine in our campervan. Greeted by a friendly lady who helped us get some stuff from the supermarket. (minimal stock) Bathrooms are slightly dated but water was nice and hot and plenty of showers. No dogs - which was good for...

All you could need in a campsite. Great installations; swimming pool, big clean showers and bathrooms, plenty of sinks and BBQs, washing machines, restaurant, small shop and free wifi everywhere (that works!)! The tent pitches are great, the grass is well kept and the areas are quite shady though some pitches are smaller than others and little close. They also...

Virgen del Mar is a comfy Camping spot with a pool showers and washing machines. People here are very helpful and pleasant. You can take a walk down to the beach or go exploring in the caves. There is a beautiful church next to the beach, on a island. If you don't like to camp there are small houses you...

Took my children to swimming pool to find no water in it ( due to maintenance) wasn't told...

All you could need in a campsite. Tidy pitches, good grass and shade. Well laid out if just a little tight for our 8m motorhome. Situated close enough to town for a reasonably priced taxi ride in and out... this place does what is says on the tin.

Not a hotel but a good campsite a short drive from the Santander ferry. It has a clean pool and s small shop and bar. Free wifi at reception only. Short walk down the Virgen del Mar beach. Safe place for the kids to cycle around. Outdoor BBQs to be used. Clean but dated washrooms.

Great spot on the way to or from Santander ferry. Campsite has good amenities and the nearby coast is absolutely beautiful. Rocky coastline makes it better for snorkelling than surfing, but plenty of swimmers. Beaches small, beneath the cliffs. Bars next to the car park at the foot of the hill are lively and the food is good value. We...
