Great hotel, very friendly staff, ver comfortable and near the port and city center. you can walk everywhere from there. The room was lovely and quiet and I would definitely recommend it. I would be staying there next time I visit Santander again.

I stayed at the original Hotel Bahia in 1964 with my parents and wanted to return to see my cousins in Santander. Before our arrival, I was disappointed because I found out it was torn down and rebuilt. However upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find it very well

We have booked an accessible room for our stay in October/November,will this room have a nice view?
It will depend on your booking, whether you booked a city view or bay/sea view. We found the hotel to be excellent for our needs plus it's location right on the bay is a plus with many nice walks outside of the hotel so as we were busy sightseeing a room r list, we would recommend the coffee shop on the ground floor and a very helpful front desk staff. Be aware there is an extra charge for the hotel's underground car park. If you intend travelling further along the coast to San Sebastian I would heartily recommend the Gudamendi Hotel above the city.

I don't recall if there was tea making facility in the room, I went for a walk at about 7.00 am and breakfast was in full swing.. We went in for our breakfast at about 9.00 am, people coming in after us had no problems. I t was a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Did not use the hotel restaurant but spoke to people that did and they were very happy, seemed to be serving quite late. The room we had was spacious and well equipped but I did not look for an ironing board, if we had needed one I am sure the excellent staff would have obliged.

Yes it would be an advantage though not overly necessary as there are plentiful spaces in the Hotel's underground car park.

Is there a hairdryer available in the room? Thanks.
My wife has reliably informed me that there was a hairdryer in our room. I however am as bald as a coot, so had no cause to use it.
