it needs renovating, it is old and the restaurant is not very good, but a stunning location, take the superior room, with view on the atlantic! very friendly staff members and that makes it still a treat to stay at this place

Lovely small hotel in a very remote and beautiful place right on the ocean. It is so remote, there is NOTHING else here. You will need a car to get here and to explore the island. This is one of the simplest paradors I have ever stayed in, but in its simplicity, it is also delightful. The staff are very...

This is probably the best hotel on the island which is generally quite bereft of hotels and restaurants outside of Valverde itself. The main downside is that it is quite isolated, although not far from the port, so you need a car or taxi to get anywhere, especially if you don't want to dine at the hotel and, unfortunately, we...

The title is an understatement for the location and the service of the hotel. It is quietly nestled in the mountainous area. The hotel rooms are very nice and quiet; wonderful views for sunset and sunrise and even to star gaze (at later hours). The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious. Try the cheese and...

4 nights here as a contrast to staying in our rather rustic house in La Palma and an anniversary treat. Perfect small hotel in a stunningly dramatic location beneath cliffs and our room had a sea view, it felt like you could almost touch the sea from the balcony. Good quality food, friendly but professional service, good WIfi, great big...

Our stay at Paradores in el Hierro has been really disappointing. The building is in really bad conditions and no maintenance has been done in decades. The bed and furniture in the room seem to be the original from when this was built. The doors to the balcony don't shut closed because the wood of the doors is rotten. There...

The location of this Parador is stunning yet disappointing. It sits on the beach rocks at the foot of a tremendously high mountain escarpment. The hotel is at the isolated end of a dusty beach road with nothing at all anywhere near the building. This could be either excellent for a get away or awful if you don't have a...

The hotel is situated in a remote location and is ideal for a peaceful relaxing break. The bedrooms are comfortable and reasonable spacious and the bathrooms well appointed both having all the amenities you would expect including robes and slippers. All rooms have balconies with either mountain or sea views. The rooms are serviced daily and are kept clean and...

El Hierro is a small island with only a very few hotels. It is therefore no surprise when I say the Parador is without doubt the best hotel on the island. That however does not do it full justice and we really enjoyed our 6 day stay. Firstly, let me deal with the location: The Parador is on the East...
