They’ve taken a scrap of paradise and hidden it in the mountains of northern Trinidad. It’s called the Asa Wright Nature Centre. Hummingbirds patrol the verandah. Bellbirds honk in the woods. Tegu lizards and agouti lounge in the shrubbery. Don’t tell anyone!

AWNC is located in the northern range off a windy mountain road a little over an hour from the airport. it is a great place for hummers year round as well as birds like honey creepers and others. not all hummingbirds come to the feeders and the guides can direct you where to find them.
