I agree with all previous reviewers. Booking a courtyard view is definitely preferable, although I had a third floor room with no view at all, and slept reasonably well, a few revellers wending their way home! Anyone who wants a hotel purely as a central base for Palma, this is the one! The Reception staff without exception were courteous and...

This hotel is near the older city parts of Palma and situated in an old Mallorquien city villa. Lobby and floors still have a royal feeling and the inner courtyard features some nice palmtrees and tables; a nice breakfast location in summer. Rooms are not really big but clean. So are the bathrooms. Service ist nice and everybody is friendly...

We booked Hotel Born following the recommendations made on Trip Advisor. The Hotel is undeniably beautiful (in communal areas), has helpful, knowledgeable staff, offers a lovely breakfast and is extremely well placed for restaurants and bars, touring Palma and getting about the rest of island. HOWEVER, if you want comfort or indeed a good night’s sleep then don’t stay here....

The Hotel Born is perfectly located at the heart of Palma ideal for sightseeing and shopping. The building is a beautiful old palazzo set around a delightful courtyard. You see many buildings like this in Palma - here is a chance to stay in one. The downside of the building's age and character is the lack of a lift and...

Let.s get to the point straight away this is a 400 year old building therefore if you are looking for a modren building ie. glass everywhere, lifts, tea making facilities, staff bowing to your every needs look elsewhere. But if you want character, boy is this the place we paid 80 euros a night for a central location, the cathedral,shops,old...

We were recommended the hotel by friends and it is also in Michelin's Green Guide. It met our expectations. It is old but that is part of its charm. The duty staff were always most helpful. The breakfasts were good. All the sights are within easy walking distance.

The virtue of this hotel is its central location and the entrance hall, with its courtyard, is impressive. That's it! Our room (room 308), laughingly called a 'junior suite', was up endless stairs - be warned that there isn't a lift here. The gloomy receptionist didn't think of offering us some help with our luggage. The room was small, with...

We stayed here over Christmas a few years ago. While the lobby and hallways have been prettily upkept (and are shown on all marketing shots), and the hotel is located very centrally- it has seen better days. The rooms are as basic as they come, beds hard as rock, pillows old and flat. Worst of all was the noise. The...

Hotel Born has a good location in the center of Palma. It offers a good breakfast in it's beautifull courtyard. BUT..... the hotel needs urgent renovations. Indeed , renovations should have been done 10 years ago. The carpets are worn, the rooms are nothing what the pictures promise but are more Hostel - like. The bathrooms are old and also...
