No beach view, no Palm court pianist, no concierge with keys on his collar, but this hotel gets as close to discrete perfection as any hotel I know. It is minimal yet not sparse, beautifully designed by a hand that has a complete sense of what matters to a hotel guest. Every member of staff seems to have been imbued...

I had high hopes for this place, the sort of hopes that usually end in disappointment. Impressively, this place entirely overwhelmed me with its understated, beautiful class-filled elegance. The sort of surprise that makes you wonder if you are mistakenly paying the wrong price. There was something about the history of the place, the simple high end decor, and the...

We stayed for 5 days at this beautiful hotel in the middle of the old city of Palma. The staff were lovely, friendly and very professional. Our room was very pleasant. We had 2 meals in the restaurant which were very nice.

This is a super hotel. Right in the old town, great restoration, super friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who values quality and price. The common rooms make you think you are in a museum they are so nice. Free sauna, welcome champagne what more could you ask for?

Beautiful hotel in heart of old town. Leave cars behind, everything is within walking distance and bikes are a great way to explore with a cycle path along coast. We stayed in room 6 - stunning high ceilings, fabulous doors, opulelent brass fittings, deep rich decor and furnishings in open areas. Staff attentive, friendly and professional - we absolutely loved...

Great location, restaurant, room, staff and, well, everything! Particularly liked the little spa which can be booked for private use. Could have done with tea/ coffee making facilities in room, although room service was good. Will be back. Charming.

outstanding hotel for a romantic break. Kind and courteous staff, very professional and helpful. The hotel itself is an exquisite 17th century Manor House, and before being taken to the room we were taken around to see the fabulous decor. The big wooden doors on the tiny back street open into a beautiful courtyard oasis. Top marks!

Hidden away down a very narrow back street in the center of the old city, the Can Cera hotel is a converted mansion house. The rooms all surround an open courtyard area hidden away behind two massive wooden doors. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable ; fantastic sheets and super beds. Enormous bathroom with lovely toiletries. The staff...

Fab hotel in old part of the city with bags of atmosphere and character. Staff were very friendly and helpful - so impressed that The Duty Manager took time to show us around when we Checked in ! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At over 700 years old, Can Cera has one of the longest histories in Palma. The building dates back to before 1232 when Jaume I conquered the island with Catalan and Aragonese troops. Located inside the ancient city walls close to the Cathedral, Can Cera is in the very heart of the Old City, between the Plaza de Santa Eulalia and the Plaza de San Francisco. Over the years, Can Cera’s many owners have made alterations to the original building. The most important of these were done in the 17th Century, when –as in many of the surrounding houses– Italian Renaissance architects inspired the creation of the celebrated patios, giving the houses their singularly attractive, yet austere, character. Inside, the house is significant and rich with well-proportioned rooms, high ceilings of sculptured plasterwork, balconies and above all, palatial adornments. Today, Can Cera, has been thoroughly renovated and equipped as a first class Hotel. The traditional Majorcan patio, with its majestic arches, exuberant Kentia and other lush plants, leads to the Reception area and the Can Cera Restaurant. A marble stairway leads up to a surprising space: a comfortable and welcoming Home with its original layout intact. Period furniture and contemporary paintings abound. ... more   less
