Check in was fast and smooth. We arrived early and lucked out- room was already available! The view from the room was perfect- a view on the gorgeous Cala Saona. The beach here is one of the best of Formentera. Breakfast is also a real pleasure as it is tasty and the breakfast crew is very efficient and friendly. All the food is great- we also had lunch once and dinner. Everything was good- the tuna tartar was excellent as was the rice dish. I had two spa treatments - a massage and a mani/pedi. We used all the facilities with pleasure- my only complaint is the shampoo/conditioner/soap should be of better quality. A coffee machine and tissue in the room would be appreciated

We have just returned back from this heavenly place and it was just as superb as always. I would like to give a special thanks to Jemima and Antonio for their outstanding efforts during our breakfasts!!!! They made all Covid measurements to make us feel protected without ruining the relaxing holiday atmosphere. The only negative point I can say is the way a spa worker treats the towel changing policy. Both her point and her way were out of line, refusing to change towels in exceptional cases more than once a day, forcing guests to bring their beach towels full of sand to the pool area, making everything dirty (floor, bed covers etc) especially in the middle of the worst world pandemic of the last 100 years. I would prefer to not have bathroom towels changed every day, but change my beach towels more often if I consider it necessery. …

Referente al punto negativo que nos comenta, sentimos lo ocurrido y el malentendido que pudo haber tenido con la recepción del Spa. Por regla general, el hotel permite un solo cambio de toallas de playa al día, pero entendemos que se haya podido molestar en ese momento. Tendremos en cuenta su comentario para intentar mejorar. I definitely don’t do reviews but in this case I will.... This hotel is our “special place!”. We’ve been going there for years and it’s perfect. Clean rooms, nice beds, big bathroom, good shower, private balcony, ammmmazing view, sublime beach, great terrace, best sunset ever! Thanks CS you have given us some our most memorable times 🙏❤️

My family of 4 stayed at the Hotel Cala Saona in early August and thought that the hotel was very good but not worth 5 stars. We went to Formentera for a week after being in Europe for 10 days to unwind and relax; I admittedly did not do much research on the island so these are my recommendations and observations. Everything about the hotel is very good but nothing over the top. Although the location is excellent and on the beach, we preferred going to the southern beaches (Playa es Arsenals is awesome) where the water was much more clear and had some small waves. The rooms are small but nice - we had 2 connecting ocean rooms. The restaurant was alright, service was very good and the pool/spa were great. Bartenders were all great and the breakfast buffet was a solid way to start the day. Unless you are planning on staying at the resort for your entire trip, do yourself a favor and rent a car. Formentera is bigger than we thought and there is a lot to see on the island. Overall I would recommend this hotel and thank them for their great service.…

I loved this place! Modern (which is not usually my first choice) but elegant and warm. Beautiful common areas with a spectacular view. Very good service. Everything you need from a high end hotel (pool, spa, beach, good food, luxury) at a reasonable price and in a small sweet package. Rooms are simple, stylish and modern. Bedroom is smaller but bathroom is huge (same size as room nearly!) and a nice terrace too. Interesting and well thought out design. Restaurant feels pricey after several days and would be nice to have a bit more to choose from on the bar menu (more reasonably priced) but overall very good food... good enough to eat there every meals! Their small beach is very nice (sand is perfect), water an amazing color from afar, but quite a bit of debris floating in the water. It’s clean and natural but just not pristine like ses Illetes. But perfect for avoiding tourist traps. Will definitely come back!!! Thanks for an amazing holiday!…

Go to the harbour in Ibiza and take a ferry from there straight to Formentera
Then take a taxi from the port in formentera. The ferries run a fast and efficient service
