We stayed for three nights in late April. The location in the cask viejo is excellent, near bars and great streets. We have stayed in the centre of old towns before and expect noise, especially on weekends. However, your quality of sleep will depend more on your neighbors. The floorboards are nice, but very creaky, people walking around can wake...

We stayed at this hostal on the 1st and 2nd of september 2008. All the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor. We got a room on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator. The hostal is located in the Calle Jardines 4 in the casco viejo of Bilbao, very close to all the little shops, bars and restaurants....

What we did not expect was to experience the level of noise that we did...the issue being the pension's wooden floors and thin walls. We were either woken up late at night by other guests returning from an evening out or by departing guests and...

their website: --- We had trouble driving in Bilbao, due to shocking sign posting. Finally (with help from Police) we were able to find underground parking under Plaza Neuva which is resonably close to hotel (12 euro overnight). Don't drive into this city without a good map. Positives - good location in the old city - room clean - easy...

“If you want quiet room then get a room toward the back of the building. If you want to see the action on the street, have a balcony, and deal with the noise at night then get a room toward the front of the building.”
