Read the reviews in TripAdvisor, and decided to make a reservation at this hotel. It did not let us down. Terrific location, very helpful staff, comfortable room with air-conditioning that was quiet, and a very good breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The plusses: 1. Great location in old quarter near cathedral on quiet street. 2. Very clean rooms and updated baths. 3. Day staff very helpful and friendly and speak English well. Good e-mail correspondences. 4. Good price. 5. Many great places to eat nearby. 6. One of the best flamenco performance spaces just outside the front door. The minuses: 1....

Location: great, right on the edge of the Barrio Santa Cruz, where we spent most of our time, on a quiet pedestrian street. We were five minutes walk from the Cathedral and other sights. Hotel: clean, pretty room with small but perfectly adequate bathroom. Breakfasts were not luxurious, but they were fine with the usual juice, ham, cheese etc and...

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Before we reached the place we were not happy with the as they had declined to book places at a Flamenco show that happens next doors to them - later came to know that most hotels dont work with show as they are not very organised in terms of advance bookings. That...

Just got back from Seville and stayed at the Alcantara. A really nice hotel, staff very friendly and can't help you enough. Bedrooms really nice, clean and tidied every day. Breakfast is really good and relaxing, plenty to choose from. Went for a meal on the first night to a restaurant (Alcamira) just down the road from the hotel. The...

I am a bit perplexed by the RAVE reviews here on Hotel Alcantara. I think it's fine, but it definitely is a 2* no frills hotel. One review even called it a "boutique" hotel - hardly so. I stayed in a single room for 2 nights. The room is the smallest single room in Spain I stayed at during my...

This hotel was everything said on Trip Advisor and more. The location is ideal - right in the heart of the old Jewish Quarter, this hotel is in the midst of the major walking district of town. Everything you'd want is close (except Plaza Nueva, but that is far from everything). A short walk to the Cathedral, the Alcazar, tons...

Back in December we had a short break to Andalucia visiting Seville, Cordoba and Granada. We stayed at the Alcantara for 2 nights. The location is excellent, in the old town with its very narrow streets, and not too far from the bus station. The Cathedral and Palace are within easy walking distance. Our twin room was very quiet, and...

My wife and I and our three year old daughter stayed here for two nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also spoke english just fine. This hotel is priced very fair for such an awesome location. It is very close to the Cathedral and is inside the Barrio Santa Cruz which is the safest (and some would...
