I stayed with the kids in this boutique hotel for a few days in Granada. We didn’t want to stay in the city center, but rather in a more quiet place. Staff told us that they just re opened and changed ownership. The hotel was fantastic, extremely big rooms, new mattresses, pillows, the details… breakfast was included and, although continental buffet was delicious. Plus, it is pet friendly so we didn’t have to leave Charlie at a pet hotel as she could stay with us. The best of the hotel is the view, from the rooms, the dining and even the stairs. The dining/ cafe is great and has a chimney that was lighted every day. We just fall in love with this hotel and for sure we will come back!!!!!!!
Perfect location to visit Granada and go skiing in Sierra Nevada Free parking , close to bus into town and to mountainroad. Nice ambience in rooms (with bath!) ,lounge and terras ( garden with swimmingpool) and great service / hospitality Mucho Gracias !
Small scale hotel with wonderful staff. Also had a restaurant with limited hours that was pretty good. We dined there on the patio with a beautiful Mountain View. I think there was only 15 rooms but well equipped. Tiny tv and rooms could use an update. Nice relaxing pool with chaises although you have to pay for beach towels. They have free parking and a buffet breakfast. Off the beaten path and not fancy but I would stay here again.
I was apprehensive when I first saw hotel how wrong was I - fabulous welcome old fashioned but in a lovely way. The staff were so helpful. Room was lovely and huge (12) we did not eat there in the evening but breakfast was lovely and plentiful very relaxing for one night and so close to Sierra Nevada which was around 40 minutes.
Great quaint family run business in an excellent location, out of the hustle and bustle of Granada but only 10 min bus ride to get to the centre of Granada. Staff were excellent and attentive, very informative too. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Number 11 has a mountain view.. There are some tasteful souvenirs for sale in the hotel. Didn't try the pool but looked very nice.
This place is the affordable option if you've got a car and don't want to stay in the heart of Granada. The beds were stiff and the rooms were outdated and dusty with some dead bugs here and there, but we weren't really expecting much on that front. I still probably would give it 4*'s despite all that. What bothered me the most during our visit was the customer service when we were checking out. We booked our stay through Booking.com via TripAdvisor, and it was listed as a place that served breakfast, which was included in the option we were paying for. That was clearly listed on the advertisement and even the email confirmation from Booking.com. The receipt the hotel gave us, however, did not include breakfast, and we were not aware of that, so we enjoyed the limited continental-type breakfast they offered everyone. They never told us there would be a charge and we assumed the breakfast was included for everyone (they just told us the hours breakfast was served and it was served buffet-style). We walked down daily and no one said anything, and our reservation showed we had breakfast so we ate some bread and juice, largely, since nothing else tasted good. Come checkout time, we see this huge charge for breakfast (fixed fee per person per day) when we barely ate anything and bought it as a part of our reservation. We showed them the emails proving the listing, and they said that's a problem between us and Booking, we need to talk to them. They were completely firm and unreasonable on this. They didn't remove any of the charges and said it was unfair, we ate breakfast and had to pay for it. They showed us their system files that indicated we did not buy the breakfast option, ignoring the emails and confirmations we showed them. They rudely ignored us as others came by and awkwardly conducted their normal business. They took the stance that they wouldn't honor what the websites that sell their services advertise them for (something they are responsible to check). Then they took the childish stance that they wouldn't talk to us until we paid for their unreasonable breakfast charge (that, per contract we had already paid for), which then made this a non-budget hotel that was unclean and uncomfortable. Other than that, this place was great. Unfortunately, that ruined my day (my fault, not theirs) and the taste that this place left in my mouth. I will never return here again! Just assume breakfast isn't included (regardless of what the listing says) and don't bother with it, and you'll be fine.…
Loved this place. My husband and I decided not to stay in the heart of Granada due to the parking issues. Upon researching I found the little town of Cenes De La Vega and the Cerro Del Sol Hotel around 15 minutes drive away from central Granada. Very traditional in style and also very clean. The staff were so very friendly and helpful too. We decided to pay a little extra for breakfast each day (6Euros) and this was adequate for our needs. Free parking too, either in the hotels small car park or on the surrounding street which was a bonus. This hotel also has a small pool with some sun beds and a breathtaking country view. To travel into central Granada we caught the number 33 bus which was at the bottom of the hill which took around 15 minutes. Walking up the hill would prove problematic, especially for anybody who has mobility issues. Overall this was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend to all of those car users who do not want the headache of driving into the centre of Granada.…
Excellent hotel with great view (it is on a hill) the rooms are spacious and clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Has plenty of parking. We had our own car, so transportation was easy for us.
How to rate this hotel? Compared to the other hotels we have stayed at in Andalusia, give it 3/5. But this is a budget hotel, so perhaps 4/5 in that category. The management is pleasant and attentive. The location is reasonable: a 10 E taxi ride from the Alhambra or the Plaza Nueva. Parking was good. The rooms are a bit shabby but clean. The furniture, furnishings, bedcoverings, etc are old. There is a musty smell in the room that they try to conceal with a deodorizer (which smells worse). The lighting is very poor. There is an extra charge for breakfast (8E) - typical continental style.
The hotel is located on a hill, so its useful to have a car. Parking can be a bit tricky when the hotel is busy, but the rooms are clean, the hosts speak some limited English, and it has all the reasonable amenities We didn't have breakfast tehre, but the dinner was good value and enjoyable
