My son and I were made very welcome. Our room was spacious clean, bright with a fantastic walk in shower. Close to the beach. The poolside was relaxed with a bar and lifeguard paying great attention. The sun loungers were new and very comfortable. Charlie made us very welcome in the dining room. Great selection at breakfast and dinner. We had a memorable relaxed holiday. Thank you all.
We spent a few days here in the centre of the student area. The food was very good and the bedrooms although quite small were very well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. The only down side was the nightclub close by which was extremely noisy from midnight until four in the morning if your room was at the back of the hotel!!
The location of the hotel is very close to the mid-town area. A casual walk of about 20 minutes will get you there. My wife and I took of taxi to the Alhambra because it is about 45 minutes and up a steep hill to get the palace area. The taxi cost me 12 euros and since it was early Sunday morning was about 15 minutes. As for the hotel, I give it good grades for everything. Staff, housekeeping, room, breakfast, and check in were all very good.
The staff, general condition, cleanliness and room were generally very good. A reasonable location with many tourist destinations within 10 to 25 mins walk. Taxi stop at either end of the street and just 7 Euro to Alhambra. My first issue is that the main photo displays a P parking sign, whereas what they now offer is a fixed rate of 15 Euro per-day parking in a public facility three streets away - still very convenient but not quite as expected. [parking sign is no longer actually on the property!]. ADVICE park your car and don't drive in Granada city center until you leave! My second issue is that they advertise as having 80 rooms with air conditioning whereas the A/C is switched off in October for the 'winter'. My room was stifling hot and not possible to keep the window open due to people partying at the pub opposite, especially on the Friday public holiday.I queried the A/C issue and the response was to switch off my ventilation - at least that stopped more heat coming in.However they kept A/C on in reception to keep themselves cool. My third issue is that the breakfast and dinner buffets were rather 'tired' and drying out under heat lamps. I was first in for dinner and being honest some veg looked like it was from yesterday. It was certainly cheaper than many places, Bu don't expect too much.…
This was a family vacation. The hotel must have paid lots of Euros for their website pictures! This place was more like a Hostel. Upon arrival the lobby was dark on one side with some people sitting there. We had reserved 2 bedrooms. One for 3 and one for 2. It was impossible to walk in the room if bags open. It looked not clean. The bathroom had the shower hose hanging , no paper on the toilet paper holder. Needless to say, we left the hotel and lost 2 nights we had paid. We believe the Agency we used was not familial with this place. STAY AWAY! IF GOING TO SPAIN USE THE WELL KNOWN CHAINS!
This was a great hotel. The Reception were very friendly, and were always willing to help. Rooms were very clean. All rooms contained brilliant bathroom facilities including new toiletries everyday. We had a fridge in our room aswell which was very handy. Room service was outstanding. The staff were always onboard meeting our requirements. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel Don Juan keeps its promise: it offers clean rooms and an extensive breakfast (most items are salty but a few sweets are anyway available) at a very good price quite near the city center. You can reach The Alhambra by walk in 20-25 minutes: the last 5 minutes you will find an uphill road but unless you're travelling with people with reduced mobility it will be no prob. You can also reach The Alhambra by taxi (you can get one at nearby Plaza del Capitan): it will cost 8-10 Euros depending on traffic. Our bedroom was not that spacious but very clean and the bathroom was just renovated. I don't recommend this hotel if you're searching for 5 star hotel services but if you're on a budget here at Hotel Don Juan they know how to work and assist customers. Last but not least: in front of the hotel you will find Cafe-Bar La Laguna. I thought it was only a bar but to my surprise they serve food and one night we ended up having a super delicious dinner (feel free to check my review here on Tripadvisor).…
Hotel Don Juan doesn't have parking garage, so you will need to walk about 5 min to get your car after parking. Room is ok. Not good wifi. Average continental breakfast. Front Desk staff do not speak well.
The Hotel Don Juan, offers a good location, and all that you want for a middle budget stay in Granada. The bedrooms are totally adequate. Good shower and bathroom. Small, perhaps, by American standards, be OK. The bar is pleasant, well supplied, and can serve a range of snacks. Public areas are spotless, and comfy. Breakfast is adequate, for sure, but the dinner buffet falls short on variety. What there is, though, is tasty - especially the giant prawns! What really makes this place is the staff. Mostly English speaking, but unfailingly courteous and will to go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. For example, I was late for breakfast one morning, and the dining room door was closed. I asked the receptionist if there was any thing he could do, and Voila, the doors literally opened. I get around, but I can honestly say that the staff at the Don Juan are about the nicest, most caring guys and gals that I have ever met. …
Very clean hotel room. Very basic facilities. Ok for a couple of nights max. Location good to get around main attractions are 20-30 walk away, but the street noise is awful at night. Fair to say 3 sleepless night. Average breakfast at a 7.5€ cost. Won’t be going back
