The Hotel Casa Capitel is an ancient Renaissance palace built in 1503 and located in the picturesque area of the Albaicin, in front of the Alhambra in Granada and in the city center, close to the cathedral. It is a palace with lintels and Tuscan columns, Corinth capitals, Arabic chromium-plated beams; Renaissance decorated wooden ceiling and two Roman columns.Among all the artistic whole stands out an exquisite Nazari Capitel carved in alabaster, what makes it a piece unique in the world.Wooden beams original from the XVIth century are leaned on the artistic whole. These beams support the first and second floor of the building.

Hotel's Favourite
Loved this hotel the minute I stepped in to the entrance lobby. The reception staffit are very friendly and helpful giving us tips and hints to help us enjoy our stay. The hotel is in a fabulous location on the edge of the Albacin area of the city a great location to explore all that Granada has to offer. Our room was excellent as was the breakfast and it was a joy to stay in such a historic building that blended with the history of this fabulous city. I highly recommend this hotel and it would definitely be my first choice on a future visit to beautiful Granada.

The hotel is tricky to find, and the area made us feel a little nervous. However, the location is great, very close to the Alhambra. Service was good and friendly. They arranged a taxi to the station and a picnic breakfast as we had to check out early. The room is interesting, but the bathroom is incredibly small and tight.

This was a fun spot in Granada. We loved that it was 1-2 blocks away from the very busy main plaza. So it was pleasantly quiet. It was an easy walk to the center of town, and some great meal, tapas, gelato options. We took a taxi to the Alhambra meeting center, but we walked back to the hotel from the Alhambra, which was very doable. It's more "quaint than elegant", but it was just right for us. We were very pleased with the attentive staff at the front desk and at the nice breakfast setting. In particular, Adrien (not sure of the spelling) at the front desk was very helpful----he directed us to a very good restaurant, got a cab to the airport for us, and was very pleasant to deal with.

Recently stayed at the Hotel Casa with my wife and would highly recommend. Rooms were comfortable and clean but the bathroom was small. However this is not a criticism but it is in keeping with the character of the hotel. The hotel is in a good location and very close to the Alhambra. Very friendly staff looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent value for stay here. Prime location. Terrific staff. Comfortable beds. Breakfast ok. Rooms small. Bathrooms basic. Be aware, street entrance is not accessible by car -- very narrow and up steps. Would definitely stay here again. Very good experience. Good option in center of medieval town.

Beautiful little hotel hidden down a back alley. Very central and easy to walk everywhere if active (though some steep hills!). Staff were helpful and friendly and there 24 hrs; arranged taxis and suggested restaurants. Room was spacious, sparkling clean and beds were comfy, shower good. Excellent value.

A very nice little hotel close to the river, it has an inner yard and you can imagine how people lived in these houses. We liked it very much, it had a style. Everything is close, the Alhambra is cc 10 mins walk away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, well equipped, clean, even had a refrigerator. Highly recommended.

We loved staying here. So much character in the rooms and the atriums and reception area- an excellent conversion of a historic building to a hotel. We took a walking tapas tour and it was one of the stops! Our room and bathroom both very nice. A frig minibar in our room we used for our water bottles. Our room was not served by the elevator - but this was not a problem for us. The Wi-Fi was spotty but staff helpful in getting connected. Breakfast was good and coffee was via a coffee pod machine. The breakfast room was crowded at times, but able to wait in the pleasant atrium. We loved traversing the alleyways, just a few steps for views of the Alhambra - and a maybe 20 minute uphill walk to visit. (Taxis inexpensive and this is an option to get to the Alhambra also). Staff pleasant and helpful with recommendations and directions. The Plaza Nueva very close and easy to catch a taxi here.

This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Granada. The breakfast here is also really simple, but quite nice with lots of variety. The staff at the front desk are kind and the rooms are nice. It does seem like you have to be really quiet though as to not disturb other guests, perhaps the walls are thin
