The Hotel Casa Capitel is an ancient Renaissance palace built in 1503 and located in the picturesque area of the Albaicin, in front of the Alhambra in Granada and in the city center, close to the cathedral. It is a palace with lintels and Tuscan columns, Corinth capitals, Arabic chromium-plated beams; Renaissance decorated wooden ceiling and two Roman columns.Among all the artistic whole stands out an exquisite Nazari Capitel carved in alabaster, what makes it a piece unique in the world.Wooden beams original from the XVIth century are leaned on the artistic whole. These beams support the first and second floor of the building.

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel is a renovated 18th-century house in the old town (pedestrian area). It is on many levels, with three floors and inner courtyards. It's like you're in a post-medieval castle with all modern amenities and super internet coverage. Everything is close (within walking distance), and strolls in the centre and along the historical, architectural, and gastronomical landmarks are a great pleasure. It would be best if you visited it.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian part of the lower part of Albaicin. It is recomended to leave the car in Parking Triumpho with whom the hotel has negotiated a special rate per day of around EUR 20.
The buiding is a typical XVI century palace full of charm, destructured and well kept. It is a medium level luxury hotel.
Breakfast offers a wide variety of foods (fruits, cheeses, granola, tortilla, bread with tomato sauce etc) and a tea with croissant is offered in the afternoon.
Centraly located between Albaicin and Plaza Bib-Rambla and Santa Ana.

Three of us stayed here for three nights. The hotel is very nice and centrally located in the old part of Granada. We had a bit of a problem at first, as the triple we had booked was quite small (not as pictured on the website). But the staff solved the problem by moving us to a studio apartment. They really went out of their way to solve this problem for us, and I give them a lot of credit. However, I would recommend being very specific when booking for more than 2 people in room to ask for the Family Room and/or the apartment.

We stayed for 4 nights in November arriving by bus following a four night stay in Nerja. We took an onward taxi to the hotel, being dropped off close by with a short walk over the cobbles.
The hotel is located in Albaicin, a historic part of Granada and is nestled down an alley way behind a huge door. A lot of old world charm in this old palace, which appealed to us greatly. What a warm welcome by the hotel! A proper 'check in', orientation with a map, key details, walking and shopping hints and Tapas tips which were spot on! The team could not be more helpful and helped us sort tickets to the Alhambra. Always helpful, smiling and friendly, all staff we encountered actually!
The hotel was rustic and charming as expected, we loved the open courtyard area downstairs, so peaceful and relaxing. The room was small and functional, it was as expected with a good sized wardrobe for our belongings.
The location was excellent, we found it quite walk-able with lots of nearby attractions and wonderful tapas bars. We absolutely loved our stay in wonderful Granada and the history, so interesting. We would return in a heart beat!

The hotel is in a great location and a 20 min walk away from Alhambra. We took a taxi from the bus station costing 7euro. The driver indicated where the hotel was which helped as it would be difficult to find without direction being halfway up a small side street off the main drag.
Once inside the hotel it was like stepping back in time with the refurbishment being in keeping with the historic 16th century building. The rooms were tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean.
The continental breakfast cost 10 euros a person and was well worth it with plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, ham, eggs and savouries.
The staff were polite, helpfully and professional.
We really loved our stay and would recommend it for those who want to visit Granada

Celebrating my wifeās Birthday, we decided to revisit The Alhambra, and this Hotel, we felt, was best placed to do this. We were not disappointed !!!! The Hotel dates back to the 16th century, There is no lift, not a problem for us. The Hotel is situated 20 metres up an ally from the Darro Road (River Darro) directly beneath (300m) The Alhambra, and right in the middle of this ancient City. Our room was very comfortable, with many rooms and inglenooks on the ground floor, where free teas & coffee are available if you wish to chill.
A very well run Hotel and charming staff. A great plus for us was a very generous discount on Alhambra tickets offered by the Hotel.
My wifeās 4 day birthday trip was a great success. Her words but also echoed by myself.

If you have a taste for history and don't mind being in the center of the tourist zone, you will love this place. Originally built as a Renaissance mansion, it is dripping with history. It has lots of great public spaces--both courtyards and indoor living room-type areas. And it is off the main street, so noise is generally not an issue. But the location is really the center of the tourism zone, so you need to work to find a restaurant geared toward locals. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Too bad we stayed only two nights in this hotel. Historic building of the sixteenth century, in the center, side street from the Carrera del Darro, practically at the foot of the Alhambra and the Albaycin district, the location is therefore strategic.
The room was very clean, basic and quaint, with a window opening onto an inner cloister, very quiet. Equipped with TV, minbar, air conditioning.
We had booked a "romantic" option directly on the hotel site, and found a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates and candles... very romantic.
Breakfast is varied, with fresh fruit, juices etc. Unfortunately with few alternative vegan options, but jam, bread and juices were very welcome.
A special thank you note to the staff: all very kind and smiling, they helped us both with information and with the request to bring forward a little breakfast time because of the morning visit to the Alhambra.

Casa del Capital Nazari is a lovely little hotel perfectly located just off Plaza Nuevo. The reception staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly, offering great suggestions for restaurants and tapas bars in the area. Our room and bath were very large, comfortable and beautifully renovated, as is the entire hotel. It would be helpful if the breakfast room was larger to accommodate the number of guests trying to use the plentiful buffet. Would recommend this hotel strongly for your visit to Granada and the Alhambra!

We were put in this hotel as part of a $1000 per day small group tour. What a disappointment, from having to drag our bags up a steep stone alleyway to the front door to the terrible beds and linens. It was clean. Our first room was an attic so tiny the only place to put our bags was on the floor, looking at an air shaft. We paid an upgrade fee of 25 euros a night to at least have a bit more room. You canāt open the windows at night because there are no screens. Desk staff was nice and helpful. I quit staying in places like this 30 years ago when I hung up my backpack and Eurail pass.

Late answer, but definitely yes! Youāre literally about a block away from the main town Square.
I donāt recall tea making facilities in the room , but I think they would furnish if you asked. They definitely have tea and coffee in the breakfast room. One afternoon we were looking for coffee, and the desk attendant went in breakfast room and prepared coffee and cookie for us and we had a coffee break in the atrium.
Thanks so much.
