Hotel Casa 1800 Granada is a charming hotel located in a fully restored XVI century historical building, the building is known as Casa de los Migueletes and served as the headquarters of the militia at the time. The hotel is decorated with chandeliers, frescos, cupolas and luxurious furnishings, always in keeping with the noble wood of the building whilst highlighting the Classicist and Mudejar elements of the original house. The rooms are elegant and cozy, some enjoy views of the Alhambra, inner courtyards, coffered ceilings and offer all kinds of amenities. The House is organised around a central courtyard where each morning breakfast is served and in the afternoon tea is offered to the hotel guests, who are treated to a family atmosphere and making the stay special and unforgettable. The charming hotel has a privileged location in the centre of Granada between the magical Albaicin and at the foot of the Alhambra. Nearby there are museums, theatres, monuments, shops, restaurants and tapas bars.

Positives: hotel is in the beautifully decorated 16th century mansion and very centrally located (at the foot of Albaicín) Negatives: very small rooms (even at the superior room level, very stuffy - no fresh air / small window and if you are on the second floor there is some strange smell of burnt rubber or car exhausts which we couldn’t get rid of, one receptionist who was torn between checking in several guests at a time or helping us with a suitcase as there as there is a staircase ca 10 steps that one needs to take before you can get to the lift, very limited toiletries and scarcity of food at breakfast ca 9am with some magic replenishment when breakfast slot was nearing to an end - why is that ?, very cold breakfast room (inner courtyard) and hardly any view of Alhambra- we found only from a very obscure point on the second floor corridor, whilst the hotel website said “with views to Alhambra”. All in all, ok for a very short stay but if your room has a strange unpleasant smell like in room 24, you may wish to ask for a change of right away. We travelled with kids and asked in advance for adjacent rooms (when booking in advance), however were told on arrival it was not available.

Beautiful, luxurious rooms. Wonderful staff who paid a lot of attention to everything we needed. They even gave us umbrellas as it was rainy day. Also, loved the bottle of Cava that they gave us on a complimentary basis. Will tell all my friends about this place and recommend.

Cute little boutique casa setting in a prime location. Staff was very helpful. The courtyard and the room was very beautiful. Only drawback was that the AC was not functional which made the room very hot. Staff helped us with the room air cooler. It is far from AlHambra however the hotel was great about calling taxi for us which was available within couple minutes.

This is such a special place. Our room and the central courtyard were gorgeous. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We are at two of the restaurants the hotel recommended and they were great. The location was great; close to all the things we wanted to do. I will recommend this place to all my friends.

At the hotel, we had the opportunity to try two rooms: a standard room and a suite. In both cases, all the details of the rooms were very well cared for. However, the standard room lacked proper ventilation and it was very hot inside. On the other hand, although the breakfast was very complete, it lacked vegan options.

This hotel was absolutely magical. Its location is hidden away in the old part of the city but has beautiful and modern amenities. Our room was wonderfully appointed and the front desk staff was extremely helpful despite our terrible attempts to communicate in Spanish. They allowed us to store our bags there after checkout while we toured Alhambra. We paid extra for a hotel transfer which was both reasonably priced and convenient. I highly recommend a visit to this magical hotel if you find yourself lucky enough to visit Granada!
