I was there in the hostel and get a worse allergic reaction cause bed bugs that was in the Matresses from the hostel. Was in two weeks 3 times at emergency dep at hospital. The hostel rigorously played down the incident and denied the case. I then investigated and, lo and behold, I found a video of an exterminator disinfecting two rooms and also mistakenly handing me the bill.
Very smart and tidy place and was in walking distance of the city centre Slightly disappointed there was nowhere to leave luggage as I arrived early. Couldn't really tell if anyone worked there as there was no uniform I was just walking around the place lost. The room it self was spotless. As I was on the top bunk I worried that I would roll out of it as there wasn't a railing at either side of the bed. Plenty of storage for bags ect under the bed and places to hang your clothes in the room. Many thanks to the lady who brought cotton buds as i hadn't had chance to clean my lugs in a while 👍🏻
Only went in to this fun place as we heard a great Jazz band playing with a female vocalist. A younger vibe, but enough of us middle aged types to feel comfortable. Was poured a huge Gin and Tonic, my other half a massive Bourbon. Staff friendly. Food looked good too, and after seeing some amazing looking deserts going out, for some reason (probably due to the large drinks) we ordered the chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream. Amazing! Would recommend this place for a fun night out, especially if they do have a band playing, on our night they were brilliant.
