We stayed here in September 2023 as part of our road trip around Andalusia. The hotel is virtually opposite the car park of the Alhambra and this was why we choose the hotel. The outside of the hotel looks dated and the sigh needs fixing! However, our room and bathroom was big and spacious and we had a part garden/part road view which was quiet at night. The hotel has a pool with a few sunbeds outside which we made the most of. We had breakfast in a large restaurant on both mornings and there was a very good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. On the Saturday night when we returned from the town, we sat outside the hotel with drinks (which were reasonably priced) and there was a concert at the Alhambra which we were able to listen to for free! All in all, we had a good stay here and would recommend the hotel because of its proximity to the Alhambra.

The most noisy, overcrowded hotel I have ever stayed in, full of student groups and young families. The walls are paper thin and the corridors like echo chambers, I could hear everything through earplugs! I am amazed that no other reviewers have mentioned this. Rooms nice enough and breakfast good. It is also isolated from the main city so not convenient for eating out, it may be right next to the Alhambra but I don’t think that compensates for the downside

Dear Peediewife, we are very sorry for the events that you told us, our Hotel is very quiet, but we have all types of clients, this is not a normal thing to have young clients, but on certain occasions they come to the Hotel. We know that this may bother other individual clients a lot, and for this reason, we apologize, we try to keep them on lower floors and you on upper floors, but in the common areas we cannot make that distinction. The distance from the Hotel to the city center is 1.2 km, it takes 12 minutes to walk down and you can return by bus or taxi at a very cheap price. We hope you can return another time, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay very much. Have a nice day!! Gustavo Cara Manager

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel within walking distance of the Alhambra. Our room had great views of the mountains. Toiletries and coffee/tea making facilities provided. Safe and fridge in the room. The staff were polite and friendly. The continental breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and buffet style. The bar has a choice of hot snacks too. It's a pleasant walk downhill to the old part of Granada and plenty of buses to bring you back upthe hill.

We spent 3 nights in the Hotel Porcel Alixares and it was excellent throughout. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a great view over the nearby park and beyond into the hills. The food at breakfast and dinner was perfect; served as a buffet meant that you could eat as much as you liked for a standard and reasonable price. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, in particular David the Restaurant Manager and Susanna in Reception.

Stayed 2 nights with Riviera Travel. The staff were excellent and friendly Hotel spotless. Room was large and plenty of hot water but the room was cold There is a lovely bar/ snack bar which was good and the buffet in restaurant provided excellent food The hotel is exceptionally convenient for the Palace, but a very steep hill up and down to the town, so taxi can be used or the small tourist train

Went with Riviera travel. Great location and rooms were fine.BUT the first evening we were so tired we decided to eat in, what a mistake…..we ordered a spaghetti Bol and a pizza . Took nearly 45 mins to come after we waited ages for someone to take our order. The spag sauce was like brown water.Pizza was ok.Needless to say we ate out the next evening.

Estimated Customer, Please note that you have to leave your time to write a valuation of our new hotel. Let's just say that we don't like the food in our cafeteria, but we still have a lot of confluence of people and the kitchen that we don't want to eat very quickly. We are tender to all of these indications. Se lo agradecemos y hablaremos con el cafeteria staff. On the other hand, we declare that we accept the criticisms and constructions or all our services and installations. We understand that no hemos fulfilled our expectations, because the pedimos exculpas. Also, with the hope that we can welcome you, we cordially hope. We stayed at the hotel between the 26th of February till the 2nd of March. This was a family holiday and we had a standard room. We checked in rather late and this was no problem, and the receptionist was friendly. The room was spacious and we had a cot waiting for us for our toddler. The room and bathroom were clean, tidy and modern. However we had to move to another room the following day as we had two single beds stuck together which kept separating. Unfortunately the second room (521) we moved to was extremely hot the AC was not working apparently due to the positioning of the room and the sun. A bit baffling but we just decided to stick it out and didn’t want to move again. There is a tv with mainly Spanish channels and I think an English news channel exists too. Toiletries provided, hairdryer too and room was cleaned as and when requested no complaints here. Breakfast was mediocre. Nothing special. Pastries, eggs, fruit and cereal that sort of thing. No real complaints here. There is a pool in the hotel but due to the weather no one needed to use it. Granada is very hilly, travelling with a baby was tough. The c30 (outside the Alhambra) bus takes you right to the centre or you can walk downhill in 15mjns. And the c35 brings you right outside the hotel. The buses cost 1.40euros each way not sure about any day passes as none of the bus drivers could speak English very well. The Alhambra palace is literally 5mins walk away which was handy. The airport is approx 20mins away, cost us 45 euros on a Sunday but 35 euros any other day.

Great hotel! From the friendly and funny reception to the lovely clean and well sized rooms to the great breakfast buffet. Great restaurants at walking distance and off course The Alhambra. Awesome pool with bar! There is a paid parking garage under the hotel, but be aware it is not one for the fainthearted. I was very glad I was not the one driving.

A lovely hotel with wonderful views from the top restaurant. Every single member of staff (reception, dining, housekeeping) was friendly and helpful. It was extremely clean and efficient. Breakfast had a good buffet choice, although the cooked breakfast wasn't to our taste. We also looked at the evening buffet and decided that wasn't for us either. However, we discovered the more expensive restaurant on the 4th floor (opens at 9pm) which was possibly the favourite part of our trip (other than the Alhambra). The restaurant is on a terrace with the most fabulous views of Granada, the mountains and amazing sunsets. The food and service were excellent. We ate there twice over a 5 day period and on the other days went there for a late night sangria. We used the pool a couple of times - it was fine on weekdays but very busy at weekends. We had a triple room which was big enough and beds were comfy, however the wardrobe was far too small so we couldn't unpack everything plus the length inside the wardrobe didn't allow for longer dresses. Hotel is at the very edge of Granada at top of the hill. Extremely handy for the Alhambra as the main entrance is just down the road (less than 5 mins). We spent 6 hours in there, so were extremely grateful our hotel was so near. There's a few shops and restaurants along this stretch of road but a fairly quiet area. A pleasant walk downhill through the Alhambra woods to the main town but would recommend taxi back up. The hop on hop off tourist road train also has a stop by the Alhambra so its easy to do a circuit. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Granada.

This is a grand hotel walking distance from the Alhambra. The room was very comfortable and a good size. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We did not get the buffet, but peaked at one day, and it looks like they have all you need for a nice breakfast. The pool was a great break on a very hot July day.
