We had a very nice stay at Hotel Anacapri for 3 nights in Granada. A shout out to Stephanie at the front desk, who was so helpful and nice, during our stay there. She gave us advice on what to see and do it Granada and was so friendly. Very well located and close to the Cathedral(which actually we did not go to!) and the Alcaiceria market, and can walk to the Alhambra and Albaycin areas. Very close to lot of restaurants too. Room and bathroom was pretty standard and did have a safe in the room itself, which was nice. But the front staff also can keep things for safe keeping at the reception, if you want, which we did use since the safe was small. The front staff also assists in calling a cab if needed. The hotel does have elevator for the higher floors. We did have breakfast here and it is ok - cold breakfast though, no hot breakfast. But it was very helpful for us when we wanted to go early to the Alhambra, and could quickly grab some bread, pastries, spanish omelette and coffee before that. Only one small thing was, the front desk refused to just let us just pack a piece of bread and a couple of pastries when our train was super early, instead of asking us to eat there early. Since we had already paid for breakfast, it would have been easier to just have it handy to eat on the train. But they did open up the breakfast early at 6.30am for us, to just grab a bite and have a cup of coffee, before we left, which was nice. Overall happy with the hotel and the kind staff and if we ever come back to Granada, we will stay here.…
My husband and I very much enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel Anacapri. The hotel is very centrally located for a first time visit to Granada. We had a terrace room on the top floor which was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were kind and helpful, especially Kathy. She gave us many great suggestions regarding sites to see, how to get around, and good restaurants to try. We would definitely stay here again!
Be careful and definitely use the safe in the room. There were lots of stairs in the room, ours was 2 floors and right off the lobby. Kind of loud. Breakfast was just ok but the attendant asked us, the only African American couple in the place, our room number. She didn’t ask anyone else.
We stayed here as part of a Rick Steves tour, then I tested positive for COVID. The hotel was so gracious, allowed us to stay for 3 more nights, checked up on us and gave us directions to pharmacies etc. The location is within steps of every where you want to go, rooms are large, comfy beds, great bathrooms. Breakfast is good, public rooms are large and comfortable The staff is so so kind. We had a bottle of wine that we wanted to share with friends after dinner, the gentleman at the front desk found us glasses and a cork screw. My Spanish isn’t great, everyone spoke English but they were all happy to put up with my fractured Spanish. Highly recommend
We stayed here for a few nights during a family vacation stop in Grenada. We had a two-level room on the first floor. The highlights of the hotel were having a spacious room with a nice lobby and sitting area, and a decent breakfast buffet. The biggest highlight was the friendliness of the staff, especially the woman from America. The only downside to the hotel is that the room was awkward. Access to the upstairs is through a narrow spiral staircase that made it difficult to carry a suitcase upstairs. And the ceiling to enter the staircase to come down is very low, several of us bumped our heads until we got used to having to duck (and we're not tall). Adding some foam to the edge of the ceiling would be a nice gesture. :-). The room also lacked any sort of view, with windows opening out to a narrow walled column. The location was perfect for our needs, convenient to lots of shopping/dining/attractions with a nearby taxi stand less than a block away in the main city plaza. I would definitely stay here again.…
The hotel is close to Plaza Nuevo and the action along the river. Also in the shadow of the Alhambra. Well appointed and the desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful in every way. There is an excellent Indian food restaurant directly across the street.
Hotel was centrally located in a small street that went directly to many shops and restaurants. The Royal Chapel was about 2 blocks away and infinity of shops and restaurants of all kinds around it. Taxi station was a block from the hotel and we jumped on it constantly to go anywhere. I parked my car about a mile away and left it there for it was secured and perfect location and took a taxi to the hotel for less than 4 euros. The lobby was beautiful, very lighted, the staff members were Wonderful! Roberto a delight to talk to! The other ladies at the desk were all great. The way to the room was either up the stairs or the elevator. All corridors had plenty of light. Our room was small but comfortable. Early in the mornings we heard a lot of noise, but it wasn’t from the hotel, but rather the reconstruction of the street. I imagine it is all done now! Breakfast was small but had fresh bread, fresh cold cuts, fruits, pastries and yogurts. Cappuccino amazing! At lunch we would cross the street and we could eat at the Arab restaurant across the main road, lovely stay! Would definitely stay there again! Hi Roberto!…
We stayed for 2 night with family (young kids). Hotel staff is very helpful and provided us lot of useful tips to navigate the town. Breakfast is good! Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Property location is within walking distance for all main attractions which is a big plus for tourists
What a lovely oasis in the centre of the Old Town. Easy to catch bus #33 from the Granada Bus station to and from the Hostal. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our double room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom (and tub!) Wifi worked perfectly. Luckily the A/C drowned out the sound of the street repair beneath our ‘balcony’. We just wish there was either a fridge or ice as it was so hot and our room drinks were never cold. We’d definitely recommend.
Perfect size and price for a night or two in Granada. Very clean and simple and quiet. Just what I needed. Helpful staff. Definitely would stay here again. Had a room that opened on to Joaquin costa which was under construction but since it was Semana Santa no one seemed to be working. Could imagine it gets loud during the day if construction is going on.
