This hotel was excellent in every way, all rooms spotless and all the rooms were disinfected just what was needed, with the Covid virus. We will return to this hotel. Position fantastic for walking around Granada. Breakfast was Covid friendly, served at your table.

We’ve stayed at several hotels in Granada over the years and they’ve been okay. But this one is wonderful! Discreetly tucked in on the lane next to the cathedral, it is an oasis of calm and of stunning design with reminders of its forbears (they’ve preserved some of the archaeological remains). Our room, a standard one, was big, modern, very comfortable and spotless with nice features such as the rainforest shower head. It was the quietest hotel we’ve stayed in too: we couldn’t hear a thing from our neighbours. Our room faced an internal light shaft so perhaps that helped.
Breakfast is a wonderful buffet. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help.
This will certainly be our first choice the next time we’re in Granada.

This was the first and only hotel I have seen go above and beyond with COVID safety precautions. They literally spray everything down to the pen they give you to sign with. They wipe your passports, card machine, there’s santitiser EVERYWHERE, and they were clearly constantly cleaning. We felt extremely comfortable and safe staying here and it’s in a great location. I would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel, super location, friendly service. The hotel is located in what used to be 3 older houses, that were connected, and beautiful updated. The facilities are now brand new with all the modern standards one expects from a good hotel and modern life, even though it is housed in centuries old buildings. The surroundings, including the cathedral literally 10meters away from the hotel entrance, are historic and beautiful.
Rooms are very nice, pretty and bed super comfortable. Beautiful and modern bathroom.
Staff is very friendly.
Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was nice, served in a pretty and cozy restaurant in house. The offerings were nice (fruits, sweet pastries and cakes, several different breads, yogurt, a few hot items, several juices and a coffee machine that prepares every type of coffee). I just did not care for the scrambled eggs (not from eggs per say, but from that stuff that comes in bags - not fitting for a good hotel) and the choices were identical on the two mornings we had breakfast here.
Pretty, comfortable, very clean and super well located hotel.

Excellent location, good parking. a lovely warm welcome at reception and very helpful before and after we arrived about visiting places. room was spacious and spotless - we worried about the possibiluty of noise from the street but after closing the windows heard nothing! very comfortable large bed with quality linen, excellent shower and beautifully soft towels. opted for breakfast and am very delighted to say it was good on choice and also quality.. very rare i find a suitable breakfast at hotels due to health and dietary needs but both were covered here and staff were very good too - we based our choice to have breakfast on the rest of the hotel and are glad we did. would definately stay again and have looked at sister hotels in other towns. thank you to everybody in the hotel for making our stay brilliant.

Positives: A clean, modern hotel with well laid out bedrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location next to the Cathedral is ideal for a Granada City visit, although it must admitted that there is a fair walk to get to the Alhambra.
Negatives: Breakfasts are expensive at 20 Euro but they are in a good well laid out restaurant and offer a good selection of fruit, cereals and cheeses, but the cooked food is a problem. It had barely cooked bacon and liquid scabbled eggs. Almost inedible. The “hot” water for tea was barely warm, although when this was pointed out the staff, they got hot water from the kitchen. Managers should eat breakfast there at least once a week to check the facilities.
In the bedroom the odd light switches were confusing with too many variations and there was a coffee machine which at night when guests try to sleep, periodically flashes a bright blue light to show it is plugged in, illuminating the room! We had to take the plug out each night, but each day the cleaner kept plugging it in.
We would certainly use the hotel again but eat breakfast at one of the multiple cafes nearby, until they improve the hot food.

This was one of the coolest hotels I have stayed at! My wife and I spent two nights (although we wish it was longer) on our most recent trip to Spain. Eurostars Catedral is a unique mix of modern and historical style making it truly unique. Literally next to the famous Granada Catedral, the backdrop couldn't be more amazing. The interior is decorated in a modern style, with pieces of unique history preserved throughout. The indoor/outdoor setup is absolutely amazing, and the rooms are spacious and well decorated. We couldn't have been in a better location, although the winding streets can be a little tough for cab drivers who don't know the area that well. Not to worry though, almost everything you can imagine is within walking distance. Enjoy your stay at this unique hotel!

This Eurostars hotel was in tight quarters but highly efficient. The parking garage was a little tight too, but we managed to park and were grateful our car was small! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, but we arrived toward the end of serving time and felt the staff were cleaning up around us constantly.

My family of five (parents and older teens) just finished a 3 night stay in Granada as part of a two week trip. We travel abroad frequently, including two weeks in Spain last summer, so we are accustomed to international hotels and have very reasonable expectations. Unfortunately, the Aurea Catedral fell short in so many ways.
Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and checked in. We had booked a deluxe room and a junior suite, both with views to the cathedral. The junior suite was lovely for 3/5 of us but we had consistent issues with the deluxe room. The AC did not work well at all and the room was quite warm. We asked reception to have it checked multiple times during the first two days but it was never resolved. In the August heat, cool sleeping is a necessity. Likewise, we started noticing a sewerage smell after our first night. Again, we contacted reception who said it would be checked. We returned to the room where it was evident a room freshener had been sprayed and went out to dinner. Upon return, the sewerage smell was there. My husband and I went down to reception (at midnight) to ask for another room. We were told there was only one (despite the website showing plenty of availability) and were shown a standard room in an annex building (again something that is not advertised as an option). We declined as our children were in the main building and the receptionist said he would let the manager know. The next morning no one contacted us and we again stopped by reception. Frustrated, I asked for an early check out (we had one more night) and was told I could not without being charged. At this point the reception manager “found” another room and offered to upgrade us to a junior suite. We packed up, moved our bags into our children’s room, and went out touring. When we returned we got our new keys and went to the room. No sewerage smell here, but AC again was not cool for sleeping and the junior suite itself was completely different than our children’s and what is posted on their website - despite being the same room category. We had an early train so simply went to bed.
I realize this is a long post but hopefully it will be helpful to someone. The best feature of this hotel is by far the location in the city center. But the problems that arose would prevent me from recommending it to anyone and I would most definitely not return. I am guessing by reception’s response to the sewerage smell and AC issues that this is an ongoing problem but, since so few people stay in Granada multiple nights, they don’t have to truly address problems. Please be forewarned that If you want a relaxing stay and comfortable sleep look elsewhere!

We spent one night here. It is a brand new, extra clean hotel, just in front of the Cathedral. Our room was on the back and therefore very quiet. The staff was very helpful. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We did not use the hotel parking, but one next to the hotel for 23 Euro per day. We choose the option with no breakfast but there are plenty of bars nearby to have a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. We will go back.

Security seemed good to me! Always someone at the front desk monitoring people in an out. No keycard during the day. I don't recall needing a card for the elevator.
Sorry my spanish sucks
I don’t think they did
Hello. We did not use parking at Eurostars Catedral. The street is very small from each direction but cars do pass in this area. I believe there is a small garage door with a lift for cars to park.
