I could not think of a more magical place to stay! This hotel is just wonderful and I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a romantic and memorable stay in Granada. We were in the Saba room with perfect panoramic views of the Alhambra and old town from the bed and roof terrace. We felt exceptionally lucky. Antonio and Julio made the stay extremely comfortable and arranged taxis and helped with luggage. I would book this room again in a heartbeat.
Clearly this hotel is a labor of love. It's unique rooms are intricately decorated and feature stunning views. The proprietors were very nice and helpful. There is a nice outdoor area at the bottom of the hotel for relaxation and conversation.
We had a lovely stay in the Persia room that had amazing views of the Alhambra. The location is great with good access to Alhambra and the centre of town. Julio is a friendly and helpful host. The only thing we'd change is to spend more time roaming the local streets. We found some of the most interesting places on the last evening.
One of the best places we have stayed.. we didn’t want to leave! Location is perfect with views of the Alhambra and town. Rooms are spacious and have such a beautiful feeling especially with the balcony and windows open. It exudes the exact feeling you would like to have in Granada. Antonio was amazing and extremely accomodating. Best hospitality we have received and we travel a lot.
The Solar Montes Claros is a peaceful oasis away from all the hustle that travel includes. The room and bed were a generous size and the shower was also the biggest of our trip. We were very comfortable and slept well. It was wonderful to see the Alhambra from our room and sleep with our window open since the only sound was church bells. Things to Note: There is no coffee (just tea) or TV in the room. Getting to the SMC is all uphill, so be aware, but there is a bus that makes a regular loop. There are no cafes or restaurants on the streets near the guest house but there are a few about 8 minutes away. The biggest drawback for us was the lack of reliable WiFi. When traveling we rely on the WiFi at our hotel to plan our next day's activities and to stay connected with home. The WiFi was nearly non-existent. I think they could use a good range extender in each room.…
We stayed in the Persian room, which was much better than expected... so charming, well decorated in an Arabic style, romantic, comfortable, super spacious, lovely views to the Alhambra, relaxing atmosphere, immaculate cleanliness... The bed was so big and comfortable, and the bathtub just perfect for couples and a romantic/relaxing bath. The location is just perfect if you want to be in the heart of the most authentic and old area of Granada: el Albaycín, with the Sacromonte and the Alhambra at very convenient walking distances. It's not possible to drive in this area, so you'll need to use a parking at a distance of around 7 mins by walk or so, but it is totally worth it. The service is also super attentive and gentle, we will come back for sure.
What an amazing time we had at this beautiful home. It is placed in the hills of the most unique community just outside of the Alhambra Palace. You are no more than a 1/2 to 3/4 mile walk to the city center. Extremely convenient. Parking is a problem though. There is no parking as you must park a little ways away. But so worth it. We would definitely stay again should we ever return to Spain from the states.
We stayed one night at this guest house. I would suggest packing light as you do have to walk up a hill and stairs. It is worth it though! The house is decorated in a charming manner. Our balcony had beautiful views of the Alhambra and Granada. We enjoyed our time in this charming house.
Such a treat! This little guesthouse is warm and welcoming, with lovely exotic decor befitting its location. And it really does have views of the Alhambra from the rooms and beautifully planted patio. We loved the location in the Albayzin quarter, and enjoyed wandering back from the sights of Granada through the myriad little lanes of the city. It's good to be aware, though, that there's no real way to get all the way to the guesthouse by car, and that one will be getting a lot of great exercise climbing up to that area. It's also good to be aware that the guesthouse does not provide breakfast, but cafes/bakeries aren't too far away.
We had a great time in the apartments of Solar Montes Claros. The view from the bed is amazing. The service with the whatsapp-communication worked perfectly and the people were very helpful. For us for the perfect stay.
