So sad this was one of our favourite restaurants ! Fabulous food , wines and service ! But has been closed a few years now ! As area has picked up it would do well again if it was same standard ! Maybe old owners will see this and re think !
We stayed at the Europa hotel But it is now changed the name and we saw 3 different names on the hotel so not sure what it is called now. It is in a great posision but that is it... The receptionist was very rude and did not want to help us at all we had book 5 double rooms and had dinner and breakfast included but when we arrived we were told that breakfast was extra so we eat out. We saw people taking cocain in the street right outside the hotel on both nights and there was a party there that went on untill 3am with strippers and a sex show . This looks like it is a place where youngsters go for a crazy drinking party most weekends and there was people running around the corridors with no cloths on.... The dinner we booked was a maroncan dinner but were told that the price had gone up 10 euros per person since we book it online just a few weeks ago so we cancelled it but at the last minuet they changed their mind and let us have it at the original price. The dinner was basic but ok. Look we booked a cheap weekend away and we were a group of 5 couples who have seen it all but this is not the sort of place you want to stay unless you like drugs and sex partys with loud music until 3am. On checkout we did meet a nice receptionist who asked if we had enjoyed our stay.. it was the first time we had seen her and she was very polite but even she was embarrassed for us as she knew what the hotel was like and from talking to her this is what the hotel is always like. They hire out the party areas to youngsters for crazy partys most weekends so keep this in mind...…
Hotel Europa, Torremolinos had very few facilities. Little or no english spoken by anyone. Reception is in a corner in the bar. Breakfast is also served in the bar. Only choice was toasted roll with jam or toasted ham and cheese roll, tea or coffee or a juice. No cereals, fruit or yoghurt. Probably adequate for most but I don't eat bread. We were on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. Dinner was served in a lovely restaurant. There was no menu and no choice and we were served by the chef. Some nights you got salad, other nights it was soup and it was fish or meat, take it or leave it, and you never knew what type it was until it arrived at the table. We were also offered deserts. For the 6 days we were there, there wasn't another person in the restaurant. Bedroom was small but cleaned each day. The room also had A/C which was noisy enough. There was a tiny balcony/terrace with no view whatever. Every Sunday throughout the year the kitchen closes at 3 o'clock so you have to have lunch instead of dinner. We had booked this hotel earlier in the year for next Christmas, moving in on the 24th December on a Din Bed and Breakfast basis but the kitchen closes on this day at 3 pm which in effect means we must have the lunch. On the positive side, the hotel is in a perfect location. It doesn't have a pool but is just around the corner from the beach. And while the staff didn't have much English they were friendly. This hotel is fine once you know what to expect but there is no information on the Internet about it so I have tried to be as honest as possible in this review. My husband rather liked it and we will go ahead with our Christmas booking, now that we know what to expect. But it may not suit everyone. Anne, Dublin…
