Spent 12 night here at the end of September and I honestly have no idea how it gets such bad reviews. All the staffwere pleasant and friendly from reception to the cleaners and even the security staff. Big shout out to Antonio and Killian from the animation team as they always shouted over and helped me with stairs etc due to my mobility issues. The room we had was lovely and exactly as the pictures. The food was plentiful and varied though I agree it was a little cold at times so we were glad of the microwave. My only problem lay with the amount of steps and the size of the lifts. I rented a wheelchair but in order to get it into the lifts, we needed to remove the foot rests and even then, we husband couldn't get in with me. They have installed a couple of wheelchair lifts to the resturant and bar arears but I found it too much hassel on the internal lifts so opted to use my rollator instead. For this reason, I didn't go up to the bar at night so cannot comment on it.

Just back after spending a week here and glad to be home for a sleep .we had party people next door and even me yelling at them made no difference.I was told you don’t need sleep on holiday .the food was cold and needed microwave,we ate out 4 nights out the 7. The sun beds were mostly broken and very very dirty .the area round the pool was small and very slippy ,I nearly ended up down a few times .the artificial grass at bar area was really smelly .Loads of stairs but there is lifts. The staff were all nice and the sun did shine .

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. I can honestly say this is not what the hotel is being made out to be! We arrived 20 minutes before the close of lunch and were swiftly whisked off, so we did not miss out on lunch, all while our rooms were being booked in. The staff were very courteous, rooms were spotless, and the food was a good standard and varying each day. There were burgers and hot dogs served at the pool bar for those who wanted fast food and sandwiches in fridges outside the entertainment room. Always a good choice for anyone. I agree it was sometimes a little cold but like most hotels they had a microwave for anyone. I have to say we enjoyed the Italian corner a little bit too much and thought it was a good addition to the food. Water and coffee stations were situated on every floor in communal areas. In regard to the towels being removed from the beds, we agreed with this as we have often seen them being put out for the day with no one using them. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss but that is personal choice, and we just went out each evening. The rooms in general are probably due a little bit of tlc, but we did see the maintenance crew working on these throughout our stay. *Tip for your stay, you can enter and exit the hotel through the carpark if you want to avoid the big hill. All in all, you have to look at the bigger picture when reading reviews. We did witness a few occasions where security had to be called, but these were dealt with swiftly and with little fuss. Well done Palia staff, we had a fabulous holiday.

Just back from a 3 night stay here. The check in was very quick and easy, however our travel operator booked us into a room with no balcony. This is our first time ever having a room in Spain with no balcony. The food was decent enough and there was always something nice to eat. The staff and animation team were very friendly and worked hard. The pool area and other public areas were very clean. Our room was spotless also. The entertainment wasn’t bad and the all inclusive drinks were very good also. Would recommend and return here.

Visited with family for a 50 th birthday celebration.Rooms clean, comfortable and spacious.Cleaning a bit hit and miss but overall ok.Plenty of clean towels when requested. The food is the big let down at this hotel as at best is only ever luke warm.If you like fish you will be ok.Breakfast best meal of the day with plenty of options. We ate out several evenings during our 9 night stay due to the food . We booked through Jet2 and we weren't aware it was mainly a French speaking hotel and everything was geared towards that nationality which was a disappointment

I have just returned from a 3 night stay with my friend and overall the hotel was good. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable and bathroom is very nice. However we did not have our room cleaned at all or beds changed. They took our towels but didn’t replace them, we had to go down to reception to ask for more which was a bit of an inconvenience. When we asked reception why the room had not been cleaned the staff just shrugged his shoulders. I have to say that the food is a bit of a let down. There is a selection but the hot section is only like warm. Only last night we got a bowl of soup and it was stone cold. This hotel does cater a lot for the French but we did not feel out of place at all. Overall it was good

Me and my partner booked to come to Torremolenos as a last wee break before baby comes. We did the usual look at pics online and read reviews. The reviews are mixed with some really good and some very negative but we thought you get that wherever you go so booked it as it looked lovely online ……,, We had a private transfer from airport which took 10/15mins which was great It was clear on arrival that the hotel looks nothing like it did in the photos and it was the same throughout the hotel. Rooms are basic which is fine it’s only for sleeping and getting ready in but could be doing with an update especially the bathroom. Pool area also looks nothing like the photos. There is a jacuzzi however it is very cold. Food was hit and miss. Breakfast and lunch same thing everyday. If you Like fish then your fine as really that’s all that’s on. We had one good tea which was fajitas but the rest of the week we struggled to find food that we could eat so ate out a few times. Tried the snack bar once and would never eat it again. The burger was just mush and not edible. Hotel was in good location. 5minute walk to beach which has some shops and restaurants along it however been advised that there is a main centre of torremolenos with loads of shops and bars which is approx a 20 min walk. We did go to the designer outlet one evening which was a 10 minute taxi journey and worth going for a look. Loads of shops and restaurants and could spend ages just walking around. Staff were a mix again: reception staff were rude and don’t even acknowledge you, bar staff and entertainers friendly. Hotel definitely doesn’t look like it does online so bare that in mind if your thinking about booking. Torremolenos is lovely and quirky but don’t think we would return to this hotel

Nice hotel. Good location for bars, restaurants and beach. Lovely and clean with friendly staff. The food was good though unfortunately it was always cold which was a disappointment. Evening entertainment could definitely be improved.
