After reading reviews on this hotel I thought I should give it a go. Was I ever glad I did!!!! Los Jarales is situated high in the Sierra Nieves, there is no noise, except for crickets and the odd cyclist. It is pure heaven in the mountains. Francesca (Packie) really cannot do enough for her guests. This woman is an...

Great deal for money. We stayed 2 nights in Los Jarales that is located 20 minutes from the busy and glamorous Marbella. This place is a great catch if you don't want to spend hundreds of euros a night just to stay at the beach. The host responded quickly to our last minute reservation. They were flexible to accommodate us...

Stopped off for lunch after a morning visiting Istan. The kitchen did not open until 1pm so we took in the beautiful scenery of the huge reservoir for half an hour with a cool beer. Food is rustic, large portions, and lovely. Owners were friendly with little knowledge of English which meant, at last, I was forced to try my...

The hotel is just 10k from Marbella but a world away. My room had a Juliet balcony with French doors opening to a view across the lake to the sea . The room was a large double done out in rustic style with a high timber beamed ceiling.Just perfect. Shower room was beautifully tiled with marble tops. Shower was great....

Excellent hotel in a two star class, just a 5-10 minutes walk from Istan (the buses from Marbella stop in the front of the hotel, so you don't have to walk with your baggage). Rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Great views to the surrounding mountains. There are also a lot of trekking routes...

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Los Jarales, 20 minutes from Marbella. Located one kilometer from the quaint town of Istan, this rural hotel is in a beautiful and peaceful location. The staff is super friendly and tuned in to our needs. The jacuzzi and sauna is an extra fee of 10€ per person for an hour,...

The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Puerto Banus. It's a road with beautifull sights over the lake. The hotel is good, a relaxing hotel with a nice swimming pool located in the sun in the afternoon. The breakfast was a bit poor. You pay 4 euro per person for a toast with jam and...

Quite and nice, good service and fantastic view. Low season, hence no restaurant open. Perfect place to start trekking and sightseeing. Nice pool in the garden with roofing. Only 15 minutes drive to the sea and Marbella. Very relaxing. I few good restaurants, but seasonal menu. Value for money. Recommended for single or couples. Not very fun for kids.

It is 16 km from the nightmare coast next to a lovely white village( Istan) with its own spring and nice walks. The hotel is small and inexpensive( E 50 for a big room with wifi), staff are very kind and helpful for suggestions. They just serve breakfast, but if you go to the village you will find bars for...

The hotel is situated in Istan which is the only destination of the road leading north out of Puerto Banus. Have that in mind when making a booking. You will have beautiful views of the coast and valley, and the lake, but it might be difficult to get food if you go on the day the restaurant is closed (which...
