When booking this hotel for a one night stay it looked fairly impressive from the photos. It is no doubt that Villa Guadalupe is situated to give superb views of Malaga. The reception at the hotel was friendly and our room was located on the 2nd floor with panoramic views across

I stayed at the hotel with my wife and daughter for a vacation. We were very pleased with almost everything; price, kind staffs, great view, breakfast, parking and so on. We will definitely stay this hotel again when we visit Malaga next time.

We stayed in this hotel recently and it was one of the nicest breaks we've had for two main reasons; the staff and the food. I have never encountered such friendly and welcoming staff in a hotel. Every single staff member from reception to cleaning staff were courteous,

Dear Aoife-Marie, Thank you very much for your review of your recent stay at our hotel. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as we strive to make every guests’ stay a memorable visit. We appreciate all of your feedback concerning our staff, the food, and the overall atmosphere. We take into account your recommendation concerning our pool however, we regret to inform our guests that the pool, while in open air, is not designed for winter swimming, the reason being for the lack of a heater. Only those "valiant" guests have braved the cold water :) However, this is a great suggestion for future years. We will certainly pass on your wonderful comments to our hotel and restaurant staff! As well, please do not hesitate to contact us personally, it would be such a pleasure to personally welcome you back in the future: hvgrestamador@gmail.com Kind regards Candace

There is no problem to drive from the airport, although you might need GPS ... the road is sealed the entire way and the hotel carpark is covered in loose stones, so there is no mud at all. The roads, however are a little steep and narrow in parts and you need to drive with caution and at slow speed. Once at the hotel there are lovely views across to Malaga.

By taxi, probably a half hour or less depending on traffic. By bus and train (from central Malaga) an hour or more depending on connections.

Is there a bus service into the centre of Malaga as we don't want to hire a car?
The hotel is quite out of the way, situated on top of a steep hill. The roads to get there are very windy and steep, once you leave the flat area. There are buses on the main road at the bottom of the hill, and you could walk down I suppose, but walking back up would be very difficult - unless you are young and very, very fit. Taxis are plentiful and fast, about E15 into the centre of Malaga or the airport.

"We stayed on the first floor with a private terrace and garden that had amazing views!"
"Book a room with balcony [10 euros a night but worth it]"
"Take a room with a view. Ours was on the fourth floor. Eat in, its fantastic."
"If you get a three bed room, the extra bed is in the loft. Might not be ideal for small children."
"Probably best to avoid rooms on the entry level floor, i.e. rooms 1 and 2"
