Detailed Reviews
For breakfast we had chocolate with churros. The place was nice and the terrace it's excellent. The service a bit slow and the chocolate too liquid to what it was meant to be. For lunch the fish was amazing and the salads really nice as well.

We stayed here last week for 3 nights. As expected, this is a completely Spanish resort, meaning hardly anyone speaks English. Which we didn't mind. At first glance, the hotel seems dark, dingy and noisy. But only the later is true. Although, the rooms and hotel are dated they were clean, bright and airy. It is only a 2 story hotel and the restaurant on the ground level is open more hours than it is closed. The noise and clatter of this was our main issue. They start very early in the morning and even though we were on the 2nd floor, room 209, we could clearly hear everything. We were lead to believe that this resort was one of the cheapest in the area. This was not our experience at all! In fact, we found it to be quite the opposite. All the restaurants and cafes were very expensive for Spain. We don't know if this was because it was July? It didn't stop the Spanish at all. However, we soon learned that with every alcoholic drink we bought, we got a free tapa. The tapa were very generous and delicious so we didn't need to spend any extra money on meals. The tapas were especially lovely at the hotel restaurant. The beach was just a 2 minute walk around the back of the hotel. It is a lovely beach where you can hire pedalos and canoes, at a very reasonable price. If it was only a free tapas holiday we wanted to go on, we would definately go back for a few days. All the people seemed lovely too.

Room Tip: Definately stay on the top floor. Room 213 was quieter and had a sea view over the houses.

we came here for a birthday of a friend who we invited to show our town off to. We had many exciting dinner at other restaurants, such as the QUINTANA. But we came to the ancla for a birthday meal. The lady waitress was rude and unbearable to the point where she forced us to take the fish home which we had waited over half an hour for, after the other satisfactory dishes arrived, the bill was as expected but the overall experience has left me disappointed as the ancla has gone downhill since the lovely waiter Alejandro has left...probably due to his standards of food

Dump! Very dirty and rude.
The lady and I wanted to venture around this coast and needed a bed for the night.
Everything about it was worse than terrible. No sleep as the noise from the 24 hour bar down stairs kept me awake, and I can sleep through a blitz! The food, service and price were all exceptionally bad. I went downstairs about 5am to the Spanish alcoholics and informed them that people were sleeping and they should keep the noise down or they would have far worse than a drink problem on their hands.
This picture is what greeted us on departure at the front of the hotel.
Just avoid like the plague, basically!!
