I stayed here at the end of December for a few days with my family and we had a wonderful stay. The houses are very charming and comfortable and the property is beautiful, including its own fruit trees, vegetable garden and cave. There's also what looked like a very nice swimming pool, but it being winter, we weren't able to... More

We had a good stay here. The best things were: 1. Hospitality: Amalia (who speaks good english) really made us feel welcome. She was also good with the emails regarding our reservation. And she has excellent tips on things to see and do in and around Cordoba - listen closely! She phoned ahead to make a reservation for us ensuring... More

we had a very nice stay at this Alojamientos. The little house was nice and comfortable. The garden around and the tree before the house were for us a very relaxing surrounding. We had breakfast there and ate there a lot of times. So much to see in the neighbourhood and then relaxing by the pool. We enjoyed our stay... More

We stayed two nights in Casa Luna and two nights in Casa Lucero plus were lucky enough to look round a couple of the other properties. All are unique, done up by I believe Pilar the artist of the family so all have interesting quirks, rustic furniture and colourful paintings. Both of ours were pretty, comfortable, clean and had what... More

We had a wonderful stay in one of the apartments of Cuevas del pino, enjoyed the pool and the relaxing atmosphere and did daily trips to Cordoba. We will certainly go back, maybe with other friends or for a painting stage with Pilar?

A group of six of us stayed three nights in February 2015. One couple (us) stayed in Casa Tierra, a stunning cave house. Another couple and two friends stayed in Casa Sol, where we all ate together. Casa Sol is very pretty and has a lovely terrace. The whole complex is very tranquil. Highly recommended!

We stayed for a few days in January so it was frosty at night but oh so cosy in our cave. Beautifully renovated and in a fantastically serene location where you can breakfast outside on the small terrace. Even in January what a suntrap! The cave is very comfortable with a nice kitchen for cooking after a day of exploration... More

A relaxing location but our stay was too short so we did not have the time to enjoy the countryside. Cordoba, with all its history, was a short drive away as was the Medina Azahara, the ruins of a vast, fortified Arab Muslim medieval palace-city. The family dogs coming to great us each morning was an added bonus.

Andalucia, The Sierra Morenas, Cordoba. Full of moorish promise, made all the more exotic by our week spent at Casa Tierra: a luxuriously appointed cave set in the cliff face, surrounded by lush private gardens. Pilar, our host had thought of just about everything, even a four poster bed! (we bought a small kettle barbeque at the DIY store down... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hidden in a valley in the foothills of the Sierra Morena, 4 houses were built using traditional methods, whitewashed, with Arabic tiles, their terraces clothed in vines. Walk around the farm at sunset, swim in the pool or simply sunbathe. You can doze off, as you listen to the birds, among the scents of the bushes and fruit trees, after a leisurely breakfast or dinner. The houses lie in the northern part of our 10,000 m2 farm, at the very fringe of the Sierra Morena. They are surrounded by palms, mulberry trees, honeyberries (or nettle trees), acacias, a wide variety of ornamental bushes and an orchard. Casa Tierra, stands inside the stone quarry, the only in Cordoba and the most singular in Andalusia. The harmony of its interior is due to the arrangement, colour and proportions of the furniture specially designed for the room, where every element of its construction displays the utmost respect for its original form. The temperature stays at a constant 18 - 20 ºC all year round Nature Suite, a loft for 2 people, with 2 extra beds. Casa Sol, For 5 people, with 2 extra beds. Casa Lucero, for 4 or 5 people. Casa Luna, Private garden,For 2 people, with 2 extra beds. Even in the summer, the central pool is a haven of freshness and greenery. You can enjoy it all year round as this is the best place to relax, sunbathe and listen to the birds that are particularly fond of this corner of the farm.. Farther north on the farm, under the foothills of the Sierra Morena, is a quite unique sandstone quarry that includes the only cave house in the province of Cordova. The whole 25-hectare farm is given over to irrigated organic farming, taking its water from the Guadalmellato Reservoir and its own wells. We cultivate a wide range of arable crops, according to the season of the year. This year, for example we are growing beetroot, sweet-corn and carrots. The farm is run by the company Hortalizas de Genil, which is also responsible for distributing and exporting our crops. Since 1985, we have been registered with the Regulatory Council of Andalusian Organic Farming (CAAE). We organize activities inside de stone quarry like cinema during summer time, yoga courses or dancing courses. ... more   less
