Good basic hotel, located behind the Mesquita, so a few minutes walk from the main attractions. Bedrooms are small and lack some features such as tea/coffee making and a hairdrier, but otherwise fine for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is basic, but again, enough to get you off to a good start of the day. Staff were very friendly...

This hotel, facing the side of the Mesquita could not be more central. It is an old building but well maintained and had all you could reasonably ask for in a hotel. As it is both old and so central, it does not have on site parking but has an arrangement with a parking garage a few blocks away for...

Took our friends here as we ate here a couple of years ago and the food and service had been very good. What a mistake! The service was very poor. Even though we speak fairly good Spanish the waitress couldn't get the order correct. You'd think 4 beers and a large bottle of water would be easy to get right,...

We enjoyed the hotel very much. Right across the Mosque. The triple room was quite ok, perfect for a family city visit. We are a family of four, a couple with two children, and stayed for three nights.

We ate here after going to the Mezquita as it was close by and we were really hungry, but we wished we hadn't. The service was diabolical and the waiter was not very clean, the food proved to be not much better. I would never eat here again the food was really greasy and did not look appetizing the chicken...

I only had lunch at this establishment, so I will only comment on that aspect. I didn't stay at the hostal but was walking by and saw the outdoor restaurant and stopped by for lunch. Even though I spoke some Spanish to the waiter asking what vegetables came with the veal dish,(I'm very allergic to peppers) he kept asking about...

We strolled in here for lunch after we finished with the Mezquita, it is very conveniently located just behind. That's about the only plus point that I can think of for this restaurant. I ordered a plate of paella, which was greasy and had precisely two prawns. My family weren't in raptures either about the food they ordered. For the...

Only one beer available (San Miguel - worst in Spain). Dreadful tapas. Uercooked patas bravas, adobe fish soaked in vinegar and gristly pinchos de pollo. 21 euros for a horrible meal. I think people sit there purely because of seats in the sun. (The one star is for the sun).

I am sure one day I will make a list of all the quirky hotels I have stayed in – if so the Hostal el Triunfo in Cordoba will be included. From the point of view of location it is fine, a few metres from all the main tourist sites and the river plus it is just opposite the south...

Booked the hotel through a search site. We had a 3 night stay the two main criteria being 'price' & within striking distance of Teatro de la Axerquia as the reason for our short trip was to see Bob Dylan in concert. The price we paid was more than reasonable. The room was what I would call typically Spanish basic...
