If you are going to Dessau expressly to see the Bauhaus, then you must stay at the B&B at Kleinring 5 in the Torten housing estate. I will admit that Kleinring 5 is not very conveniently located. You can purchase a 72 hour Dessau Card (8 Euros) at the information booth outside the Dessau railway station and at other locations. It's valid for trams and buses and includes discounts to the Bauhaus University, Master houses, and the Junkers Museum. Kleinring 5 has been in the family of the charming and informative Herr Eichorn for many years and is a type II house on the Torten estate. We found a great B&B in one of the Gropius buildings in the Torten estate. It is called the Torten Bed and Breakfast and has the original windows and has even been restored to the original interior colors. The price was very reasonable (55 Euro/Night for 2 People) and includes a huge breakfast. You need to take the street car...
