We had a nice stay,1 week, in this villa. Room has a kitchen, we didn't use except water boiler for tea. Cutlery is available. It's a 10min walk to a couple of nice restaurants nearby Blaues Wunder. Had to climb two stairs, which is hard for a pregnant woman. Room was next to main road, so lot of noise from...

This is my third visit to the Villa Freisleben. It was recommended to me by someone who lives in Dresden. The hotel is located in a lovely neighbourhood that seems not to have been bombed during WW2, so there are many attractive turn-of-the-last-century villas. It is about a 12 minute walk from the hospital on the south side of the...

Off the beaten track a little but worth it. The hotel is very pretty and spacious. Looks like it has just been renovated and it was very clean. There is a tram stop right outside and it takes you into the city center. It was a very easy ride. I would stay here again.

I have just stayed there for three nights on a business trip. The hotel is located in a lovely area of 19th century villas, which were particularly charming with their Christmas lights. A beautiful building but sadly the heart and soul of it have been ripped out and the interior is bland and cold with a staircase covered with municipal...

Great location, in a quiet area near a park and walking distance to the Elbe and the Blue Wonder. Tram outside the door and it's a ten minute ride to the city centre. The room has a kitchenette with a small stove, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a coffee machine. Supermarket about 1 km away.

The Aparthotel Villa Freisleben is a great option in Dresden. Its main highlights are the good service of the staff, and impeccable cleanliness. Located next to a major medical center, and with easy access to the center by suburban train lines, is undoubtedly a great choice for cost benefit.

The villa is a very nice place to stay at. It's for everything you need for the comfortable stay in Dresden: nice room with Wifi, good breakfast, free on-site parking and a public tram stop. The ride to the centre takes exactly 14 minutes! We loved this place in Dresden. If you need to spend a weekend in Dresden, that's...

Two couples stayed here during the hot part of August. Our downstairs rooms were quite comfortable and we found the place just as nice as mentioned by earlier reviewers. After an early morning walk through the nearby Wald Park we found ourselves enjoying a lovely breakfast outdoors. The staff were also good and we were very happy with our stay....

This is a true treasure! The rooms were extremely comfortable. and the breakfast was an epicurean delight - complete with linens on the table and many delectable items from which to choose! The staff were friendly (we were with German friends who stay here often) and the service was impeccable! I have never been to Dresden before, but if I...

Beautifull old villa, perfectly restored. My room was in the basement, so I only had very small windows. Since I didn't get in till late and left early, no problem. The room was quiet, even though there is a bussy street right out front. I have stayed a couple of times at the "Artushof" in Dresden, which is also very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The enchanting villa in neoclassicism style with numerous Art Nouveau elements is located in Dresden's elegant residential area Blasewitz and has direct access to the Waldpark - a 23 hectare large park with beautifully landscaped paths. Guests at the Villa Freisleben can experience a piece of Dresden city's history. The prestigious villa with park-like garden was built by the architect Hans Paulick on behalf of the Freisleben family in 1916. The second world war and Dresden's night of bombing was without prejudice to the villa . In the early nineties and under compliance of strict monument protection regulations, the building was sumptuously renovated by the owner and opened as Aparthotel Villa Freisleben in 1994. Numerous lovingly refurbished details in the interior and exterior of the villa, recall the fascinating architecture of the Art Nouveau. The stucco ceilings attract attention just as magically as the stained glass windows in the former music room. An Eye-catcher as well is the 90 -year-old wall fountain from original Meissner ceramics in the lobby, which originally had its place on the first floor. In the years 2010 to 2014, the villa has been restored in some areas by the present owner and upgraded technically and visually. You can find these unique pearl of architecture of the early 20th Century in most books on Dresden's villa architecture. ... more   less

“back - traffic noise can be bad due to the road surface - not top floor - the windows are tiny, with no a/c probably very hot in summer.”
