The rooms here a bit bigger then usual and they are neat & clean. The better part about this in comparison with the Hotel ChemnitzerHof is that there the clock tower sounds like somebody is banging your head. That's not the case with An Der Oper. Food was OK. City centre and railway station is walkable.

Chemnitz is not what you would call a beautiful city, it is therefore no surprise that all of the three hotels that we have stayed in there over the last five years are business orientated - this one even more so that the others - the Amber and the Artes. Situated bang in the centre, facing the Opera, this is...

Chemnitz is a manufacturing city. All the 4 rings in Audi's logo became the Auto Union here in 1932. Planes, trains and automobiles all had and some still have their day in Chemnitz. This hotel is across the street from the opera house where there's always something on. During my most recent 3 night visit Wagner's Meistersaenger and the musical...

Coming from the uk you forget that it's been a tradition to smoke and drink after dinner. But in the Hotel an der Oper they are keeping the tradition alive without killing off the asthmatics like me. The have a wonderful glass partition keeping the smoke separate from the cocktail bar. The atmosphere is great and the rooms are clean...

We spent over there only one night. Location of hotel is very good, in the center of town, close to the square. Parking place is changed. Hotel's rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was good, till 10. But half hour before 10 almost without fresh meal. Reception looks old, small space with strange smell.

Visiting Chemnitz for a conference. We have chosen this hotel because of its location. Good breakfast buffet, clean rooms and only a short walk to parks or downtown Chemnitz. Parking space is rare so choose a public parking garage nearby. Conference rooms were as expected.

My grown sons and I stayed here during the MotoGP event at Sachsenring. We got into Chemnitz late at night and went to the taxi stand to get a ride to the hotel and the driver pointed us around the corner. This hotel is right in the center of town and overlooks the Opera house, town clock tower and it's...

Chemnitz is heart of East Germany and a very friendly town. This hotel is one of the best in town. The staff is super professional and friendly. If you want to relax and enjoy life this is the right place located in the main centrum.

Perfect for business travel as well as any other trip. Room was really big with all necessary amenities one may in need of. Bathroom was huge, however toilet room small and not really comfortable. It was always cold in the room, though I put air conditioner on maximum. Breakfast is fine, seems like the hotel restaurant is also one of...
