We were in M´gladbach in Dec2011 for a football game, and Palace St. George happens to be located no more than 200-300 meters from Borussia Park. So, if football is the reason of you visit to tow, it´s the perfect location! It is not close to the city center, however... The hotel occupies a building in a kind of English village from WWII. It is quite interesting. There is parking space available at no cost, and also a restaurant which seems to be good (we didn´t try it - and it is a bit pricey). Service is corteous. Room is huge, huge, huge, like a small apartment. Really nice!!! Bathroom is also very large and comfortable. The only negative are the mattresses. Way too soft! And the management knows about it! We went to talk to the front desk to see if there was anything that could be done to remedy the situation, and the lady in charge told us that this was a common complaint... but there was nothing she could do. What a shame! It´s really the only reason why we wouldn´t go back.

Cannot fault the hotel. It is a classy dining establishment with 12 rooms in a tastefully converted former chapel used by British forces post-war - hence the name. It even retains its spire and bell. Visited for a wedding reception and stayed two nights - double room 160 Euros per night which was pricey for us poor Brits! Reckon 120 Euros more reasonable. Rooms fit into charachter of the converted chapel and so are all unique and it is a classy and very well-appointed hotel retaurant in very pretty and relatively quiet surroundings. Food for the events was rated outstanding by the guests. Close to the famous football stadium and it was fun to see some Liverpool fans arriving for a pre-season friendly. A venue for wealthy people - or if you wish to impress! Chef patron much in evidence and very friendly although little English.

This hotel and restaurant quite rightly deserves its position as one of the best in the area.
Beautiful, elegant and with attention to detail. Exquisite food paired with very attentive staff. I can recommend it all - lunch offers, bistro, restaurant and special events.

Look forward to visit again in the near future.

This is our hotel of choice when visiting for work.

The hotel is small with only a few rooms. It that adds to the charm. The food is great and although not an extensive menu the quality speak for itself.

Would recommend the pork (as sampled on the last visit) or the steak.

Looking forward to staying again soon.

The employees were very helpful and happy. The hotel from the outside is well presented and really clean. Booked this hotel as on our way back to Holland for the ferry as we had a 6 hour drive so wanted somewhere not too far off the motor way but where we could relax. Looked on several sites about the hotel and liked the fact it had bathrobes to relax in after bathing and a seating area showing a nice settee. Well no bathrobes in the room, so went and asked reception for them but was told they did not do them even though it is advertised on several sites and the seating area was 2 not very relaxing chairs. Really disappointed.

Booked this hotel as a stop to break our journey from Austria to Rotterdam. What a great choice, only small,12 rooms, but from what was a church, has arisen a quality hotel.
Friendly helpful staff from checking thru to the restaurant, comfy room, immaculately clean and well presented with nice products in the bathroom. Restaurant was superb with possibly the best steak I have had? Great nights sleep on the comfy bed. Breakfast room was full of all the usual continental choices, with attentive staff and plenty of hot coffee.
Loved this place. Well done to all the staff for giving us bikes a quality stay.

I have been here during a business trip in Mönchengladbach. The hotel is really closed to the stadium (you can reach it in 5 minutes) so can be a good solution if you come here for the match. The structure is a bit old inside. Room are okay really essential but clean. Big free parking in front of the structure. Fine for short stay and if you have a car as the centre of the city is a bit far.

This place is in the middle of a business / industrial estate near the football stadium. It's rather quaint and clean and very quiet.

Bedrooms are modern and comfortable and made for a decent nights sleep.

Breakfast was continental style and rather enjoyable.

Staff very pleasant.

Stayed here on a Saturday night and there was a function on, at about 9pm a disco started the music got louder at about 10pm and the whole room was vibrating.
The rooms are directly above the function room.
At 11pm I tried phoning reception but no answer, it was impossible to sleep.
The music went on until 1am.
No warning was given when booking that an event with load music was being held.
The response from the receptionist the next day was not helpful and I am still waiting for the owner to phone me so I doubt my complaint was passed on.
The owner needs to decide if it is a hotel or function venue they are running as the building is just not suitable for both.
