A little way from the city center is the media harbor of the city of Düsseldorf and that is where the Radisson Blu Media Harbor Hotel is located. However, the journey by S-Bahn or tram is not too long.
Check-in can be done online or on site. For the latter option, there is friendly and attentive staff at the reception desk. They answer all kinds of questions and point out the special features. For me, however, it was just an overnight stay with breakfast and a bit of exercise to compensate for the monotony of the desk job. Several endurance machines and a sauna are available.
The rooms are equipped with all kinds of amenities. From the multimedia TV to TV sound in the bathroom and the rain shower, everything that I think can be expected is offered for the price range of under one hundred euros.
At breakfast there was also everything your heart could desire. Attentive staff constantly refilled empty containers and cleared the tables. The selection is more than sufficient and, as far as I can judge, of high quality.
All in all, a hotel that I can definitely recommend in this price range and location.

We booked the hotel for a weekend trip to Dusseldorf for one night. Booked was a superior room including breakfast. Located in the media port, not in the front row, but still in the middle. The check-in was professional and friendly. The employee pointed out to us that currently in the 1st and 2nd class floor renovation work can be carried out and there may be noise. We had our room on the 5th floor. floor and did not notice any noise. The room was as shown in the photos, nicely large and stylishly equipped. Large window front and the ordered large bed preserve available. The bathroom with a large walk-in shower directly adjoins. A separate toilet is also available. There was nothing wrong with the cleanliness. It should be noted once again that the bathrooms are stylish, but I personally am not a fan of toilets, which are separated from the rest of the bathroom only by a frosted glass wall. In connection with the non-existent bathroom door, it could sometimes come to unpleasant situations :-) This should perhaps be reconsidered in the upcoming renovation work. We slept very well, the room was very quiet and the air conditioning was whisper quiet. We had booked the room with breakfast and here is also my only criticism. Unfortunately, it is now a common inconvenience to charge prices for breakfast from 25.00 € upwards. That can be justified, but here I think it is not justified. This is not because of the staff, who were very accommodating and friendly, but because of the quality/presentation of the food offered. This does not apply to everything, the freshly prepared omelette was very good. However, if you offer cheap baked bread rolls and equally poor-looking, dry bread at this price and then combine it with an unlovely presentation of 08/15 cheese and sausage, you need not be surprised at disappointment. You could still work on it here. Yes, it may be whining at a high level, but anyone who calls the price mentioned must also be judged by it.

A weekend in the Rhineland saw myself and PA visit Düsseldorf. I had chosen this hotel after the debacle the PA caused in Billund the weekend before. I had arrived in a foul mood following the grilling immigration gave us at DUS, even the PA struggled to navigate the situation. By the time we arrived at this hotel I was incredibly tired so I left the check-in procedure to the PA while I waited in the corner, I didn’t fancy waiting for the PA so I made him carry my 15 piece matching set of Louis Vuitton luggage and his backpack up to the 4th floor, while I took the elevator to preserve calories. The room at first glance was very satisfying, perfect I thought for our 2 night stay; my view changed somewhat at about 2am when the PA had gone for a shower. Due to the lack of a door I received an absolute face full when he bent down to pick up the soap. This left me feeling completely dirty especially after the show I got in Iceland. When it was my turn in the morning I insisted the PA exit the room and wait in the corridor outside, although this did cause problems because I had to collect my own towel. As always I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the refectory, after all I had only eaten 5 courses the night before so I was in need of calories. During our day in Düsseldorf we encountered a carnival attended by what can only be described as hooligans, for my safety I was quickly whisked back to the hotel by the PA. We spent the remainder of the time in and around the hotel, and very nice it was too; other than the drama with the lack of shower door this hotel ticked all the boxes.

Response from Stefan Welti, General Manager at Radisson Blu Media Harbour Hotel, Düsseldorf
Responded 27 Feb 2023
Dear Tarquinm2021, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your impressions regarding your recent stay at Radisson Blu Media Harbour on Tripadvisor. We are sorry to hear your guest room facilities were not to your liking. We planned that with the renovation of the hotel, which should take place next year, there will be a more private sphere of the bathroom area. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Best regards,

Absolutely catastrophic, cleanliness 0, rooms are not cleaned, at 4.10 p.m. a member of the cleaning crew came by for the first time and said that work would be over in 5 minutes and that he would have a maximum of 5 minutes. Nothing was refilled (empty paper towel box, etc.).
The in-house bar is also not attended to, the only waiter for the restaurant has no time for the bar and still only complains about her job. Of course she still has her job because this hotel is obviously not managing to recruit enough staff. A complete disaster, stay away from this place and do the few employees a favor.

Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay for 5 days. Rooms are of a decent size with nice soft bed and pillows. Pod coffee making machine provided in the room making it possible to get freshly made coffee in the morning. Bathrooms, though nice do not allow privacy making it not so suitable if not a couple,
The staff is friendly and efficient and go out of their way to be of help. I would like to make special mention of Christoph who even followed me out to hand over my mobile which I had left in the lobby,t
The area has lots of eating places and interesting modern architecture. The Rhine Tower which gives one a birds eye view of Dusseldorf is a 5 minutes walk and the Rhine embankment promenade is a pleasant 15 minutes walk.
Overall a great stay.

I think it's a good idea to implement an ecological program for room service and room maintenance for a stay of several nights. It remains that minimal intervention is necessary to remove/empty the bins and wipe off the dust without wasting water. There is always a minimum that can be done to make your multi-night stay pleasant.

Just now at Christmas time chosen to live centrally to take the taxi to the city (6min) but also sleep peacefully.
Tip number one to drive directly to the underground car park behind the hotel. Don't be put off by the narrow driveway. We drive ourselves a very large car in case of emergency the mirrors automatically fold in, only the driveway is narrow after that it is a large, normal underground parking garage.
From the underground car park you can take the elevator directly up to the reception.
Once there, we were greeted very friendly, unlike other comments. Here we were informed with our Madison status at the end of the check-in also regarding upgrade or not upgrade, whatever depends on the occupancy of the hotel. It was my wife's birthday, we had so casually mentioned more about it later.
We Got a nice room on the sixth floor looking out back.
Everything was perfect in the room. It was clean it was well maintained, a great bathroom nothing to complain about or want.
We were gone a few hours ago. When we came back, we found a few balloons, a small potted flower and a handwritten card congratulating us on our birthday in the room.
I've never experienced anything like this before so the staff on this day extra praise and extra points!!!! Staff at reception were very helpful. You can say all the staff at the reception in their actions and actions, I can assess that well, because I often stay for business and quickly and find out in terms of service, something comes from the heart or just runs according to Scheme X.
For breakfast I want to say also here nothing was missing. It was all there. Maybe you could change the cutlery sometime. It's already very old. Otherwise from the breakfast things that were there whether it was cereal whether it was fruit there or bread or rolls or sausage or jam everything fit and everything was just great. A nice place that we would certainly take if we were to stay in Düsseldorf again.

Hotel located in a lively and trendy area with lots of bars and restaurants, near the Rhein river, about a 15 minute walk to the old town. We felt very welcome and appreciated as a guest in this hotel. Compliments to the entire staff, especially Deborah at the reception, who also gave us some inside tips & tricks on the city. Rooms are spacious, large tv with lots of channels, we enjoyed the rain shower and excellent amenities and bath products. In this hotel, its the small details that make the difference, such as a complimentary bottle of water in the room, free candy and flavoured water at the entrance door, a quality hair dryer, well equipped gym and sauna and a spacious hotel parking. To top it off, the breakfast is on point, with also à la carte options such as advocado toast. Highly recommend.

Friendly reception staff. Rooms very run down, dirty and dirty. Furnishings poor.
Breakfast buffet very limited, no labels on the buffet and poor lighting. Service seems inexperienced and sluggish, showing little enjoyment in their work.
The hotel bar is open from 5pm to midnight, unfortunately you are no longer served when you return to the hotel at 11.40pm. So the reception immediately says that the bar closes at midnight and is cleaned, and the young man at the bar already has "his visitor" waiting to throw himself into the nightlife. An absolute crowning glory for this "bad review" in a 4 star hotel.

Radisson Blu Media Harbour sees me once and never again.
Specifically:
1. The check-in was already very cool, not warm, no indication that you were upgraded as a VIP status holder
2. The room size was fine. But: It urgently needs a renovation: torn curtain, empty minibar, defective bedside lamp, yellow and partly moldy joints in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable for that.
3. At the bar in the evening, half of the menu was already unavailable (all cocktails ).
4. Breakfast is not recommended. The service is totally overwhelmed. Very small offer, e.g. hardly any fruit or just one type of jam, which was then still empty. Missing cups and plates, and the quality was also not good (grey scrambled eggs, rolls that were felt from the day before yesterday). This is what happened to other guests with whom one came into contact.
5. The check-out was the highlight. You had the feeling that you were just being cashed in quickly. No question about a good stay, no wish of a good trip home, nothing! One was looked at according to the motto, finally leave, and that as the highest status holder in the Radisson program. The stay means that you will look around for another chain. Such an unfriendly staff I have rarely experienced.

Possible, put up a request
I think you should get an apartment not a hotel
Sorry! I walked into town along the river. Very pleasant, but it didn't inform me about public transport.
