Went down for dinner to be informed that restaurant it's shut on Sunday and Monday nights - although I could walk to the Italian restaurant 5 mins away. As a lone female traveller, this was not really an option as it was pitch black outside. No offer to provide me with a sandwich or soup. I asked for a cup of tea and they only had Earl Grey.
As you can imagine, no dinner and one cup of Earl Grey - I wasn't happy.
Room was not overly hot, but the quilt was very thin and felt like a single quilt on a double bed.
Breakfast was OK, but still no English Breakfast Tea, so settled with another Earl Grey. - Happy to leave and will not be back again if travelling on my own.
The only negative that I would have is that there was no kettle in the room and I'm so used to having hot water in the mornings or in the evenings.
Friendly staff, very good service. Internet costs a nominal fee, it's not much but on principle I think the internet should be free... very good breakfast spread as well.
Overall, I don't think you can beat this hotel in terms of value for money.
The only down side was the Wifi, this worked very intermittently and was only available in the rooms,
The hotel is a bit noisy, you hear the plumbing, guest leaving the restaurant. But is was not really disturbing.
Breakfast offers eggs, boiled & cooked. Different cheeses & ham's. Homemade jam's, yoghurt, croissant and breadrolls, OJ. Perfect.
The only minus for people with allergies, the quilt and pillow is filled with feathers.
Restaurant is good, but VERY expensive!! Bottle of wine starting at a price of 40 euro!!
Menu starts at 89 euro!!! No `a la carte possible.
A breakfast buffet where everyone can find something to give them energy for the day.
Very friendly, attentive staff.
Can be reached in 15 minutes from the Böhler area via a footpath along allotments and fields.
