Basic hotel room in a building reconstructed from shards of the 1940s, and with a window on to a lightwell opening to other similar buildings. The room was fine but bump-into-furniture small. The bathroom was clean. There's an elevator. The free Internet worked, It was an easy 10 minute walk (with luggage) from the Dusseldorf train station. Reception managed my...

Very pleasant and OK stay at the Mondial. Clean and nice hotel, basic standard, but for 2-3 nights its just fine. Location in town is great, and close to the train station, walking distance to city center and old town. Friendly and very helpfull staff. Breakfast also OK.

Decent Wifi while I was there. But really another 2-star hotel in Düsseldorf pretending to be 3-star. See my Hotel Doerenkamp review. If you don't own more than €50, you would not be a fool to stay here...

Stayed at the Hotel Mondial two times on separate occasions. It is quite convenient from the Hauptbanhof, an easy 3 blocks away. Though it's located along the tram line, it's quiet, especially rooms facing the inner courtyard. The single rooms are small, like most hotels in Europe, but is comfortable and clean. The carpet and curtains are a bit old,...

I spent a long time looking for somewhere acceptable for 1 night. I eventually went with Mondial, and I’m very happy with my choice. The room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. Wifi was fast. The bathroom was larger and cleaner than expected. I also had a nice view from my room (502). I found the pillow uncomfortable, but...

We stayed one night in hotel Mondial. Everything was OK, but not too special. The room was clean, but one bed light was not working and the shower's temperature was fluctuating. Oh, there is free wifi in the room, and it was quite fast; we were able to watch Internet-TV! There seems to be a 8-Euro deal for parking in...

Stayed here with 2 friends on a weekend getaway. Got good rates on booking.com, booking fairly early. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms simple but more than adequate. The beds were comfortable and to my pleasant surprise, the foot board could be tilted (see photo) which I find a wonderful position after a full day of walking....

The hotel is walking distance from the main train station of dusseldorf. Even though in proximity of the station the area is quite safe to walk at night as well. We visited the whole city without the need for transit, as you can reach the historical centre in about 15 minutes walking. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The...

We were visiting Dusseldorf for the Christmas Markets so just needed somewhere cheap and easy. Having read good reports on TripAdvisor about this hotel I decided to stay here for 2 nights. The hotel is not much to look at from the outside, infact we would have probabally walked straight past if we hadn't have booked, but it was a...
