Detailed Reviews
The room was spacious, with a good sized desk, two single beds and an appropriately sized bathroom. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I had a nice chat with the bartender one evening. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the quality was very good. The location of the hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the Altstadt but it is located right next to a Stadtbahn stop to make it an easy trip.

Stayed here during a recent visit to Düsseldorf. It was really inviting and the staff were really pleasant. The room was well appointed and very clean. We asked for a kettle as we are tea drinkers and this was not a problem
Breakfast was the highlight of our day. I’ve never encountered a buffet breakfast with d many choices. From cereals to breads to hot and cold items. It was fabulous
Again the staff were attentive and accommodating
Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Düsseldorf for the markets. The underground is just outside the door and it’s only €3 for a ticket into the centre You can but a multi ticket as well and it works out cheaper. Only 20 Minutes from the airport as wel

Would have rated this Hotel as the very very best that both me and my partner have stayed in except for a couple of minor issues. We booked on line and added a room upgrade, but when booking in at the Hotel, they could not find our booking reference and as such they asked us to pay again. They finally found our booking, but we were booked in to a standard room although we should have had included in our room rate tea and coffee making facilities and espresso coffee machine, but nothing was available so Reception then moved us from our room (double bed) to another room (single beds) and then delivered the coffee machine and kettle etc. Throughout the week, there were lots of Conference delegates and it seemed the hotel were more attentive to them than they were to the general public and we were not allowed access to the restaurant whilst the delegates were present, although we could eat in the bar, but the menu was limited and very expensive ( Beef burger no Chips £20 euros). On our final day, we did not need to check out until midday, but house keeping knocked on our door several times from 08.30 onwards asking us if we were leaving soon, so they could service the room. Upon checking out, Reception tried charging us another £78 euros for the room upgrade which we had already paid for and after several minutes of checking, they gave us a refund of 1 euro.
This may sound negative, but it’s not. The hotel staff we dealt with, were just the nicest people in the world and went out of their way to make things right, Despite the minor issues, there is no hotel in Düsseldorf that my partner and I would rather stay in. Yes there were issues, but the way the hotel staff dealt with made it a very enjoyable stay.

+1
Really upset with the standards of service and cleanliness at this hotel. We found that there were no tea/coffee options in the room and despite speaking with reception staff - our requests were ignored, eventually we were told that our room rate did not include drink making facilities, which is not what we had booked. There is an app to order these items within the room - again, it didn't work.
There was a piece of chocolate on the carpet of our room upon arrival, which was still there 3 days later, and it wasn't removed until we brought reception staff to our room to show them, whilst not dirty, it showed that the housekeeping standards were poor.
Shower gel wasn't replaced when it was empty - despite leaving it open on display in the centre of the shower cubicle.
The hotel has a great location, its generally clean and welcoming, but levels of communication and service are sadly lacking. I won't stay here again.

The check-in took some time, although there was a customer profile of mine.
The rooms are clean and pleasantly quiet, so acoustically well shielded from the outdoor area and the hotel corridor. The furniture and technical equipment is also fine.
One of the two showerheads was unfortunately completely calcified, even blocked by lime.
What bothered me most, however, was the air conditioning in the room. It could not be regulated either at the temperature or in the fan stage. It is not so nice even at 30°C outside when you try to fall asleep and get blown cold all night.
At breakfast I didn't miss anything.
12 hours parking in the car park under the hotel costs about €20. But the feeling that the car is safe and you only need 90 seconds from the room to the car is worth it to me.
The Check-out also took only seconds.
Due to the location and facilities, I would describe the value for money as very good.

Our room on the 7th floor smelled a bit musty, the ventilation was sometimes loud, especially at night. The cleaning of the rooms left a lot to be desired, the bathroom, especially the shower, is past its best. Of the 3 elevators, only 2 were in operation, which is far too few for the size of the hotel, so you sometimes had to wait 5 minutes for the elevator, which was also switched on strangely.
The breakfast buffet has a mediocre to good selection, but the room is far too small for the many guests, so some had difficulty finding a seat. There was always a queue at the two coffee machines. Glasses and cups were constantly missing, the staff always came with freshly washed ones, but they were usually sold out straight away.
And who actually invented those disgusting ridged tablecloths that are never cleaned, but always just wiped down and the dirt is pressed into them. One photo with your cell phone and enlargement and you lose your appetite.

convenient location (2 subway stations closed by) hotel in good price, bed is total comfortable. Watch out what Check-in staff asked in check-in, they would offer you the opposite that you would like to have, though you did talk to them in both German & English. Staff would keep blaming you to arrive too early, even though you are not going to get a room early.

Dear Garfield, thank you very much for your review after staying with us! Our check in and check out times are international standard. Check in not before 15.00 and check out until 12.00. If it is possible to do a early check in due to the occupancy situation you can book it with additional fees. We hope we will see you again. Kind regards,

I arrived early in the afternoon. Took a local bus from the airport to the main railway station. Was easy, around 3euros, took about 20 mins. Walked from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel which is about ten mins walk. When I arrived, the room I had requested wasn't ready. I had requested a room with no carpeting due to allergies and there are only a few in the hotel. They were very eager to accommodate and offered a voucher for drinks while I wait and stored my luggage so I could go exploring instead of just waiting in the hotel lobby. Hotel is clean, modern and well maintained. I went to the gym which is really tiny and two men were already there. It was a bit of a squeeze but we managed. There are towels and water for guests.
The room was great. Spacious and clean like the pictures.I was located on the first floor but the traffic wasn't loud at night. I had the breakfast buffet every morning and was happy with the selection. I am a healthy eater and found plenty of options for me.
There are many eateries right by the hotel but also a short walk away. The prices are very affordable and portions large.
If you like to walk like I do, the city is perfect for this. I walked to Königsallee, the Altstadt, the Promenade by the Rheine River and the Japanese quarter, I felt safe walking around alone . The city is very easy to navigate. I used the local train to the Fibo Messe in Köln, also easy. People are friendly and help. I speak German so that made it easier with older bus drivers with limited English. The weather was nice for the 4 nights.
Returning to the hotel in the evenings was pleasant, the surrounding area is well lit and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfy , I slept very well.
I would return again. I enjoy the NH chain and have visited in multiple countries. I will continue to favor them due to the aesthetic and service.

The NH is showing significant signs of age, my room showed some wear and tear, especially in the bathroom. Since it is currently being renovated, breakfast and lunch are served from an improvised buffet. The food seems to come from outside and does not correspond to the 4 stars.
