Recently travelled to Germany on a business trip, and stayed at the Astoria for 4 nights. The hotel is relatively small, with approx 30-40 rooms. The room itself was above average, with plenty of space. Rooms were cleaned with a towel change daily. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, providing us with maps & instructions on how to board the correct trains to Cologne. Main train station is approx 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. Overall I was very happy with the Hotel Astoria and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed at the astoria for 2 nights with my friend, we were on a 3 day city break and wanted a reasonable hotel that was in the centre at a reasonable price. In my opinion we got it. Hotel is small, I think 36 rooms in all but seemed to be very popular with business people, rooms decent size and very clean. Staff very helpful giving you directions, maps ,tips on restaurants etc.
Breakfast consisted of cereal/yoghurts, eggs, boiled/scrambled/etc. hams/sausage/cheeses, toast, rolls etc, fresh fruit , all in all adequate breakfast choice.
Its about a ten minute walk trom hotel to busier city areas that included shops and restauraunts etc. approx 15 minutes too the Konigsalle (posh shopping street) and approx 25 minute walk to the aldstat (old town) this is were the "longest bar in europe is" although its actually lots of bars and restaurants in a small area. great choice thought from spanish to japanese, german beer houses, itallian, lebanese etc. too much choice some times.
Can recommend this hotel and I would return again

Super nice little boutique hotel in a great location. Walking distance to Alte stadt and other attractions. Nice places to eat nearby. Breakfast is complimentary and so yummy! Lots of meats and cheeses as well as cereals and fresh breads. Free internet access in your room! Slept so well as block out blind, comfortable and warm bed and super quiet! Lovely new bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Went there for 2 nights business trip. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are older, but everything works 100% so no problem. Parking at the hotel is for free. Staff is really nice. Breakfast is luxurious and with the decent music you could imagine you are in much more expensive hotel. Will come back for sure!

We have been using this hotel for business trips for many years now, and it is always a reliable choice. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly and speak English. Breakfast in the morning is very good. Getting to the Altstadt or the Messe (the exhibition centre) is easy, as taxis can be called by reception (at no charge), arriving with little delay, or the local tram stop is a 5 minute walk away. The tram system in Dusseldorf is excellent!
Only minus point is that there is no bar in the hotel, but this is minor as there are plenty of bars nearby.
Strongly recommended!

Have stayed here many times on businees, and this time stayed for a couple of days whilst on holiday.

The rooms are comfortable and it is a short walk (or tram ride) to the Altstadt. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

The car pack is very handy but a top tip is to ensure that you are positioned well if you need an early exit as the cars can be packed in!

This hotel is highly recommended.

The Astoria is a private held hotel near the center of Düsseldorf. It has few rooms available and as backup a couple of apartments. The apartment I got was incredibly awful, dirty and closer to a smoky bar rather than a hotel room.
Regardless of my personal taste, I found it unfair of being given such a bad accommodation and with a price that was a rip off (fair week). Avoid if possible.

It's in a quiet neighbourhood yet still pretty central: near D-Friedrichstadt S-Bahn, which is only one stop away from the central station. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is comprehensive, including salmon and pretty much anything else you might want. The price is reasonable. Wifi mostly works. All in all, no complaints.

It was really great hotel, small, but very comfortable and clean. Room big enough, bed cozy, service really good and location also.
Breakfast was good. TV is big and has a lot of channels, internet is free wifi, not really fast, but ok. Bathroom is good size, looks new and clean. Creat value for the price.
