Ruby Leni Hotel is only 200 m away from Königsallee, Germany‘s most famous fashion boulevard. The boutique design hotel, which opened in 2019, offers 170 luxury fitted rooms on seven floors in the heart of the city. Reflecting the history of the building as a former theatre, the interior of the hotel brings the glamorous theatre world of the 50ies back to life, using original furnishings and props. The hotel is centrally located in Dusseldorf’s inner city only a short walk from the old town and buzzy Ratinger Straße as well as many bar and restaurant hotspots. The underground station ‚Graf-Adolf-Platz‘ is only a few minutes away from the hotel and Dusseldorf central station can be reached in under 10 minutes through the nearby tram station ‘Berliner Allee.’

Five of us had booked two double rooms and one single room for one night at the weekend from Saturday to Sunday in order to spend a nice day and evening in Düsseldorf with (former) work colleagues. We arrived by train, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main station. Check-in was a self-check-in guided by the service via tablet and room card issue. The rooms are modern and stylishly designed and were well equipped, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only drawback in terms of the furnishing style: glass shower "in the room", which can be closed with a curtain, but on the other side there is a mirror on the door which cancels this out - depending on the room occupancy, you have to make do with this. The breakfast buffet for just under EUR 25 is OK in terms of what is on offer, but it is expensive. Overall, a nice stay in a modern, stylish and centrally located hotel with a few minor drawbacks (glass shower/breakfast price).

Check-in and check-out are made very easy. Arrived a little earlier than 15:00 - but we were not accommodated. Hotel was also fully booked and then the staff just takes a long time to clean. The rooms are very spacious, new and also have enough outlets. It would be nice if you could also connect the TV to Netflix. Only Prime and Disney+ were possible. In the bathroom is largely everything that is needed, whereby a comb and cotton swabs would already be great. The view was not nice: View of construction site. But the room can be darkened 100 percent. Location is also great. You are quickly walking in the city and outside the door there is a kiosk and a nice bar: “Studio 1”. But you can also sit well in the foyer. Drink prices are just a little expensive. On the floor of our room was a microwave and tea as well as coffee - free of charge. Staff are friendly.

Stylish Deco hotel centrally located in Düsseldorf city centre, within walking distance of many interesting spots. Booking on the hotel's website is simple and straightforward and was 36€ cheaper than on a well-known buckling platform. Electronic check-in the day before facilitates automated key collection in the hotel. We had a very clean, spacious and functional room in the 6th floor. Floor. The value for money at Ruby Leni surprised us positively. The service was very friendly. However, there are parking facilities in the hotel only if you check in early, as no reservations are made for this.

We had a room on the second floor and it was WOW, really spacious and very light.
Checking in with tablets was easy and fast, checking out was even faster, put the keycard in a container, done!
Both pillows on the bed are, as mentioned in previous reviews, very hard, not nice - for those who, like me, like soft pillows.
TIP: Instead of 4 hard pillows, put two hard and two soft pillows on the bed, then everyone will be happy.
During our stay from 9 to 10 December it was very noisy outside at night, until 4 am! Annoying but can be solved with earplugs.
The breakfast was fantastic and what really appealed to us was the wide choice of all organic and high-quality products.
The drinks are a bit on the expensive side but tasty. The prices are listed in the drinks menu, which is located at the bar.
The fact that there is a shower cabin with transparent glass and a toilet with frosted glass walls in the room takes some getting used to, but I have experienced this before in various hotels, so I had no problem with it. If you prefer to shower privately, this is not for you.
We would definitely book this hotel again, for the atmosphere, the location near the Königsallee and the super breakfast. Personnel was friendly and helpful.

I was here for work and on arrival I was immediately kindly helped by Jenny, who was born to receive guests. Very friendly and professional I was informed of everything, and when I asked if I could eat something she recommended a good and affordable restaurant nearby. The room itself surprised me pleasantly, spacious enough, nice bathroom and pleasant rain shower. I informed my employer that they could always book this hotel for future assignments. Thanks Jenny!

Pros: Very nice staff, friendly and attentive. Modern ambience, great rooms with unusual concept but we liked it great. Cozy bed and it was also clean.
Breakfast super delicious and fresh. The negative aspects are really only minor flaws, the positive ones outweigh the positive ones.

Cons: The shower was so calcified that it splashed everywhere but not down. Because the hand shower had no bracket on top, you had to shower a bit more cramped. For one night it was fine but not ideal at the price. Our “complaint” was taken up and they wanted to let the building services know directly so that the next guest would be better, but of course that did not improve the situation for us. Nevertheless, it seemed sincere.
At the bar some things were empty yesterday, so we had to choose a new drink 3 times because otherwise something was always missing. The bartender recommended something to us directly and made us really great drinks, so that's more of a positive thing as the service here was great.
Finally, I would like to note the breakfast selection. Being a vegetarian makes you happy here, but for vegans the choice was very small. For the price of breakfast, you should look here a little outside, because otherwise you are rather left hungry. With such a great, modern concept, I would have hoped for a little more openness to different diets, but this is more for inspiration.

We can recommend a stay and hope that we will have a similarly good experience in other cities if we decide to do so again.

Good location for city visit to Düsseldorf. The rooms are clean, spacious, big TV, high ceilings. Only downside is that you do hear some street noise, but after a day of walking in Düsseldorf, you sleep through it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had everything you need in the morning. You can't eat there at night, but you can eat your takeaway pizza in the cafe. We will definitely be back here.

Check in area was in an area where they had some party with loud music. You couldnt hear what the employees were saying during check in. Check in process was terrible, they almost asked for a copy of your birth certificate… i am happy if they want my address etc and a copy of my passport but this was nuts. Room clean but horrible lay put. Shower can only be reached through a room with the toilet (small room). I would not recommend this hotel

Response from Marketing Ruby, Marketing at Ruby Leni Hotel Dusseldorf
Responded 5 Dec 2023
Hey Sunshine, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. Our self check-in was created to simplify a time-consuming process and free up our hosts to provide great service in other areas. For example, by not having a reception desk, our team has more time to share their city tips. It's a pity that you've had a different experience. Although our location in the city centre has a lot of advantages, it also means that we have less space to play around with. That's why we design our rooms in a unique way to make the most of the space available - for example, by integrating the bathroom into the main room. This is why we put lots of photos on our own and our partners' websites so that all guests can get an idea of the room design in advance. We hope to get a second chance to welcome you back. Your Ruby Leni Team

My partner and I traveld here in Germany, we passed by Ruby Leni Hotel Dusseldof and my girlfriend liked it, we wanted to have a drink and take the opportunity to rest. We were attended to by Clare, a very kind, friendly and attentive girl. We asked her the location of several places and establishments that we wanted to visit and she answered all our questions. We wanted to thank her with this comment for her help since we could not thank her in person because she was serving another table.

The rooms are equipped with a marshel speaker, very esthetic but not so nice if your neighbors are hosting a party with it. At 23:00 I went to our neighbor’s room and asked politely to put the music down. So they did for exactly 5 minutes. 30 minutes of loud music and extremely loud basses passed by, I went to the reception, asking if they could do anything about it. I explained the situation. The woman behind the desk, said no and asked me if I hadn’t any earplugs. Totally unprofessional in my opinion. I asked her if it was possible to send someone to the room because this isn’t supposed to happen in a hotel. And again she told me there was nothing she could do about it. So apparently this is some kind of party hotel where it’s allowed to host parties with 7-8 people in a room. I was very disappointed in the reaction or the staff, almost rude.

Hey Jarrick, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. It's a shame that you were disturbed by other guests during your stay.
