Detailed Reviews
The hotel is a perfect location for a city trip to Düsseldorf. It is 2 minute walk to the konigsallee. We booked for 3 nights and were astonished by the price. It was around 75 euro per night including breakfast and free use of the mini bar on the room (water, beer, fritz kola) and was even replenished every day.
Breakfast was fine, not too much choice but everything you need. There is 24hour reception available. On a 3 minute walk there is a parking lot where you can book a parking spot for 8 euro a day (ampido- tallstrasse).
Room had everything we needed including good shower.
2 downsides (but still 5 stars because of the price) were the bed which is quite hard and the hotelbar that is very expensive. We had to pay 39 euro for a white wine and 2 gin tonics.

We loved our stay at The Fritz Hotel.
The hotel is tastefully decorated, and well-located for exploring the city.
If you are arriving by car like us, there are several parking garages available nearby.
Our room was comfortable, clean and very quiet. We did not hear any noise from other rooms or from the outside.
The service was also great. We had a slight issue with our booking upon checking in but the staff resolved it swiftly and offered us a drink on the house to make up for the trouble. Perfect.
I would highly recommend making time for breakfast as it is delicious (including the coffee). It also currently runs until 11am on the weekend, which is an additional plus if you are enjoying a relaxing getaway.
It was honestly such a pleasure. We are looking forward to planning our next visit.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group whilst visiting the Dusseldorf Christmas markets. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of the markets and the shops. Rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was of a very high quality as was the service generally. The Fritz Hotel was one of the best city hotels I've ever stayed in and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I hope to return one day.

Unfortunately the hotel didn't live up to the reviews. We checked into a standard room and a balcony room by a very unfriendly receptionist. When we got to our room the rooms where not what we expected. There were stains on the carpet and curtains, a malfunctioning heating system (read; no heating in winter times) and a bathroom that look nice but was poorly upkept.
The thing that disappointed us most was the breakfast from 7:00-10:00. Barely any choice to begin with, and most things were gone by 8:30. Which means if you want bread or juice you'd have to get there in the first hour or you'd get stuck with dry old bread or rotten fruit. And don't even think about asking the staff, as they are the most unfriendly staff I've ever come across. It seems there's a policy against smiling or friendliness in the hotel.
The only positive thing is the receptionist that checked us out, she seemed very shocked and disappointed with our treatment and reimbursed the drinks we managed to book on our room.

Nice hotel on the top end of konigsalle approx 15 /20 min walk to start of the Xmas markets. Don’t waste your money getting breakfast if it’s not included as it’s not good, there’s no warm foods available. Same every day….cold boiled eggs lettuce, olives, gherkins, salami, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, and bread altho we went down at 9.15am one morning to find no bread left and asked the lady in charge for a slice and she said no that’s it once it’s gone!!!……There is an Aldi on the corner if you want anything. No kettle for tea or coffee in rooms. We booked a balcony room as I’d read the rooms were very small and it was fine altho a chair would be nice instead of 2 high bar stools 6” so close to the tv screen! Rooms very clean and some staff were excellent and some not so pleasant. It is approx 20 min walk to train station. All in all a decent hotel but when your paying around £150 per night one would expect at least an omelette or some bacon or sausages to start the day…..

We stayed at the Fritz based on TA reviews as an overnight stop en route to Berlin. We have been traveling around Europe and to date this was the smallest hotel room we encountered. Don’t bring a cat as you will not be able to swing it! That said the room was clean and functional as was the tiny bathroom. For one night it was fine. The location in Dusseldorf was not great for visiting the Old Town made worse by poor weather during our stay. The best thing about the hotel was breakfast - a lovely dining room setting with an array of breakfast food.

Smart hotel in the city centre close to the main Königsallee. Rooms are stylishly organised to make the most of the limited space. We stayed at the front of the hotel overlooking the road which is quiet.
My only gripe is that despite telling the hotel a week before my stay that I am gluten free, the news had not filtered down to the kitchen staff, the only offering was a few slices of gluten free bread, that couldn’t be toasted because the kitchen doesn’t have a toaster. My husband eats everything and he thinks the breakfast offerings are excellent with fruit and salad vegetables with olives, plenty of quality tea (herbal) and coffee is available.
I’ll stay there again but have breakfast elsewhere

Great hotel. Good location, great room, perfect cleanliness, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff.

Completely uncomplicated shortly beforehand. Really good.

- Exceptionally spacious rooms for a city hotel, modern and well-designed (flooding when showering, as mentioned by a previous speaker, I can absolutely not confirm)
- good location right at the top end of Königsallee
- breakfast selection is not huge but fine: chia pudding, overnight oats, buffalo mozzarella, smoothie etc. and: coffee from the portafilter machine included, which is an absolute plus point for coffee lovers and is rarely seen even in luxury hotels due to its efficiency
-> Overall, a top price-performance ratio

+1
Fabulous stay. Clean hotel. Gorgeous decor and good size bedrooms. Amazing shower.
Our room had usb charging points which was perfect as we’d forgot our European plugs.
Breakfast great. Continental. Soft boiled eggs were also available on the kitchen hatch. Also catered for someone with a wheat allergy in our point.

Dear Sue,
Thank you so much for your message. We do not have any coffee or tea making facilities in or rooms. But certainly we are very happy to always brew a fresh coffee or tea for you at our bar!
Hope to welcome you soon!
