Although located in an inauspicious district, not far from the Messe, the cosy lobby with a *real* Christmas tree and friendly staff was immediately welcoming. The room and bathroom were small but clean, WiFi was free and worked well (not always a given!), the bed was comfortable and the biggest surprise was the breakfast room the next morning: cosy, well-appointed...

a small hotel in the middle of town, with small clean rooms and good breakfast. The owner is a nice person very helpful and the staff too is always ready to help. The only problem we faced was that we couldn't pay with credit card and had to organize for the payment of hotel bill whole checking out, it was...

This hotel is ideal if you are looking for a cheaper alternative for Cologne's somewhat highly priced inner-city hotels. Particularly if you're attending a trade show at the Koln Messe, this might be your pick as a few nights' stay won't break the bank. It is well-connected by bus and tram (to and from Central Station in a few stops)...

The Hotel is placed in an interesting part of the city; not close to centre, but not in the suburbia either. It is good connected by trams to centre - tram 18 goes fast in that direction. The rooms are clean, even though a little oldish. Parking is at 3eur/day, very convenient. WiFi exists, but the signal is not good...

Stayed here on a business trip whilst visiting a trade fair. The accommodation is very 'dated' and definitely not worthy of its 4 Star rating. The staff don't speak a lot of English and are not very helpful. The room we had was very small and had no air conditioning, we were only here one night but it was extremely...

Breakfast is excellent and service is given with a friendly smile. Room was very clean and had a sauna. Loved the traditional décor, so different from other hotels. Will stay at the Kaiser again, next time we visit Cologne.

Very negative note. I was not able to go because my partner could not come to Brussels after the cancellation of flights afterthe terroristic attack. I informed them 4 days in advance but they refused to offer another date in any weekend in the next 2 months at their convenience. Not exactly customer oriented hotel.

I only stayed in a single room for one night. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. My only complain was not having appropriate lighting in the shower. The location is also convenient since it is close to the Cologne tram system ~15 min to Koln Hbf via tram.

This hotel seems to be living off the grandeur it had in the 80's but unfortunately it is pretty faded and hasn't been updated since. It was clean enough but the staff were not so friendly. Despite booking a car parking space in advance it was not available on one of the nights we stayed and no alternative was provided....
