My room was clean, staff was pleasant. Breakfast isn't anything hot. The least amount to choose from I have ever encountered in my travels. WiFi is very slow if it exists at all. Elevator is very small in this older building. You may want to take the stairs if you are claustrophobic. Very squeaky floors and stairs but it's an... More

If you like modern hotels with all facilities that could be available anywhere in the world avoid this hotel! If you like charm, old-fashioned, adequate facilities in a historical environment (old town) ideally located near to main communication (HBF: main railway station) and river Rhein, then I can recommend this hotel. In addition service was good and the complementary breakfast... More

Came for the football in Leverkusen and for the price we paid it was an unbelievable location. Around 3 minutes walk from the station and 1 or 2 minutes to the old town and dom catherdral. Plenty of bars and restaurants within seconds walk. Rooms small but comfy and for the time we actually spent in them it was perfect.... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in an excellent location in Cologne, a ten minute walk from the train station, museums and the cathedral. It was also close to many restaurants and bars, as well as the river. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The showers were not very convenient. I had to ask... More

It was the week of Photokina International fair in Cologne, so hotels were full and prices sky-high. Found a room in Hotel Das Kleine Stapelhäuschen through a booking site, but it turned out to be without private bathroom, they had an en suite room but much more expensive. The hotel consists of two inter-connected old houses facing Rhine River, in... More

See aBove. All good for basic accommodation in a Llcentral area. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Just what you want in a strange town. Only criticism it was a little difficult to find.... even if you were next door.

I stayed both solo and as a couple here in about a month timeframe. The location for the price gets this five stars from me with the quaint facade and general feel being a welcome bonus. If you are looking for modern feel and many amenities look elsewhere. However, if you want a room in a great part of town... More

We just needed somewhere to rest our heads after sightseeing and it is a great hotel to do just that. The very central location makes it a great place to stay it is very lively and interesting place and lots of good pubs at night, I would return here if ever im in Cologne again.
