Stayed here for 3 nights. First impression was how basic the room was - think Travelodge, Premier Inn - but with a fridge. Very bare walls and painted white made it worse. However, it is very clean, nice comfy bed but the pillows not so good, we put rolled blankets under them as they didn't have much substance. Bathroom was... More

Rooms are old. Furniture is old and is worn-out. Internet connection is simply not working. I was on a business trip and could only work during one hour. The only advantage is location, very close to the cathedral and walking distance from the train station. Good breakfast buffet, besides the terrible filter coffee. Impossible to get a real "cappuccino". The... More

Coming to the hotel the very friendly staff stood out. overall the hotel is pretty much stuck in the 70s and would need a touch up to get back to being an excellent hotel. The interior of the single rooms should be updated to modern standard. The breakfast is a surprisingly big buffet with plenty to eat for everyone. Thanks... More

Have stayed here on and off for twenty years, now feeling a bit worn down. The rooms are ok, but one sees shabbiness everywhere. An update guys? The breakfast is especially meagre, not worth the amount extra and the staff down there are rude, in whatever language. Location is the best feature. Like to give it a 2.5 but as... More

Nothing wrong with the Senats Hotel, which features an excellent location very close to the Dom right in the city centre. The bed was comfortable, the shower fine, wifi worked and I didn't try the breakfast, so I don't really have a lot to review for my one night there, but thank you anyway for looking after me. Maybe I'll... More

Decent hotel. no nasty surprises. good value for money. We checked in very late in the night and checked out early in the morning and the staff were equally pleasant to us. The rooms are basic but serves the purpose. would certainly recommend if you want a city centre accommodation close to a large car park and various restaurants and... More

The Senats is a curiosity - a hotel at the leading edge of design, in 1953, which has largely escaped remodelling or renovation. The rooms are much larger than average, though furniture can be a little tired. The listing says the hotel has no parking - but the moment you walk around the area you start falling over enormous underground... More

It is a fairly old building with rooms meeting basic requirements but not more than that. Rooms are functional but nothing luxurious. Needs refurbishment.Elevator is activated with a key, so there are no buttons for floors but there s an activation hole to turn on with a key. Breakfast was satisfactory and hall was nice. Most of all, what makes... More

Old old in good conditions. Was worried when I read the reviews about the hotel. But there is nothing to complain. Great room , strong wifi , maintained room, attentive staff , very friendly reception , great location , easy to find , good price compared to what I got . At least the breakfast was perfect too.
