I stayed at the New Yorker in Cologne in Jan-2007 on a business trip Bad location - The hotel is the middle of nowhere - marketed as "convenient for the Messestadt and the center" - for both you need to take a taxi. Its handy for the Trade Convention Crowd situated by the giant Trade Exhibition Halls but for a tourist visiting Cologne - not ideal at all. I was there during the World Cup so had no choice in hotels. This was one of...

I've just returned from 3 nights in Cologne staying at The New Yorker Hotel. Although the hotel was very nice: buffet breakfast was very good, bedrooms very clean and well maintained, the hotel is not situated in a convenient location. Also it does not do an evening meal and finding a restaurant close by is not an option. It takes...
