A small hotel at walking distance from the heart of Cologne (10 mn). Very styled rooms in english chic, very clean. Definitely a good starting point to visit Cologne and its surroundings. Breakfast is german style. Rooms are quiet. We were pleased to find a Nespresso coffee maker with a few capsules.

This is a lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and had nice decor. We only spent one night but would have been very comfortable for a longer trip. The hotel is also well located to visit Christmas markets, which was the purpose of our trip. There are 3 within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was very helpful...

Stayed here in april for short business trip. It's very centrally located, but still not on the noisy streets. The Hotel and the rooms are somewhat old, but kept up to date with fresh furniture and beds. During my stay the wifi was upgraded to good standard (I don't know what it was before). Staff was very friendly and helpful....

Tip on getting there: If you are arriving at Cologne Central Station, take train line 5 and 2 stops later - alight at Friesenplatz. Up the escalator to the Starbucks exit and the hotel is 50m across the road. No x number of stops to count or buses to take. It is that hassle free. The proximity of the hotel...

This hotel does the basics very well. It's clean, neat and tidy but also with a unique character centred around a love of horses and fast cars. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is great, with lots to see in and around the area.

The standard room was so small that I almost felt claustrophobic for the first time ever in a hotel. The room smelled of chemicals (like a new car), and the smell got even worse when I turned on the heater. I couldn't breathe but couldn't sleep with the window open either, because it opened directly onto a very loud street...

Cons: Telephone not yet installed. Could be a problem if you forget to request wake up call, or get locked out without your keys, so make sure you have a towel to wrap around and rush downstairs to get help. Why not install one phone for the whole floor if it is not possible to install a phone in each...

We stayed at the hotel in room 505 two nights ago. It was a dusty room with stains on the carpet. No coffee or tea as stated. Staff were miserable and petulant. The public areas away from the reception were appalling. Old stuff from rooms just left in the gangway. Dirty carpets. A freezer full of food just by the...

“Maybe it's a good idea to ask for a room on a higher floor to beat some of the noise (we had a 1st floor room). Not sure whether they have those, but a backward facing room might also be a good idea.”
