When you are in your room, you feel like you are in a modern club; white, open room with a very nice big shower. If I would get a room like this in every town I stay I would be happy. When you are at breakfast, you feel little as it is in an old church. Very nice breakfast, not...

Stayed at HStJ during a weekend to Cologne. Got to know about it from an old colleague. The hotel is situated in Severinsviertel which is a nice and quiet area and is close to an underground station. The distance to Cologne old town is a 20 minute walk. The building interior is beautiful with stained glass and high walls. I...

I have to admit, that my first impression was not exactly delighting - I agreed with some of the previous reviews and even prepared my own, but wanted to give the place another chance. I have been staying at the St. Josef since over a month now on a weekly basis and I have to say that my first impression...

Old abbey with nice modern rooms, very functional rooms, not to big but enough when you are alone. Good breakfast, was able to eat outside on the deck, very pleasant. Rooms have no airconditioning. TV, minibar , phone and alarmclock nicely build into the room!

The room is not that big but has everything you need. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. If we would go back to Köln we would come tot the same hotel. You can walk to the center from the hotel and parking is nearby.

The hotel is quiet unusual in a beautiful way. Our room was located on the 3rd or 4th floor (can't really remember now) but it was pretty close to the roof so it felt a bit smaller because of the angle of the ceiling. The bathroom is a bit unusual as well; the toilet is in a tiny windowless cubicle...

Now what you are looking when staying in a hotel ? To me service, space, possibilty to dine . open views are all important factors , if you do share these tatstes then this "hotel" is not for you .. Hidden in a small street just below Severins strasse , this structure ( as to call hotel is improper) is...

My girlfriend and I booked a romantic weekend away in Cologne and paid for a double room at the St Josef. When we got to the room we found two single beds pushed together with two single duvets. When we complained the staff were unable to help and there efforts very underwhelming. They claimed there was nothing they could do,...

Friendly and unobtrusive service, with comfortable room and excellent buffet breakfast. Hotel was once a convent and it has a lot of character. Very good position for Zollhafen offices and quiet and restful.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were brilliant and patient with me, because I have an issue of falling asleep at random times of the day, so the cleaning staff had to put up with that. The breakfast was brilliant. The only issue was the location, and the fact that the room was a bit basic. I'll...
